Honey Bee (Let's Fly To Mars) Lyrics

Mad mullahs and dirty bombs
Alert the coastal command
Ack-ack, positions everyone
She's my honey bee and here she comes
Cancer, rabies and SARS
Hairy beards and hurtling stars
Won't somebody touch me?
Won't somebody touch me?

Honey bee let's fly to Mars!
Honey bee let's fly to Mars!
Honey bee let's fly to Mars!
Honey bee let's fly to Mars!
Bzzz

There's a kid laying on the lawn
The neighbour's on the telephone
The dispatcher asks 'What's going on?
Please Sir, what's going on?'
"The kid is laying on the lawn
He's been given me shit for years
He rides his bike across my lawn
Now he's laying on the lawn!"
Won't somebody touch me?
Won't someone please touch me?

Honey bee let's fly to Mars!
Honey bee let's fly to Mars!
Honey bee let's fly to Mars!
Honey bee let's fly to Mars!
Bzzz, bababa

Scud missiles, Asian flu
The easily offended
We are the undefended
We are the undefended
Won't somebody touch us
There's a virus come to town
Won't somebody give me a kiss
He's been givin' me shit for years

Honey bee let's fly to Mars!
Honey bee let's fly to Mars!
Honey bee let's fly to Mars!
Honey bee let's fly to Mars!
Bzzz, bababa, honey bee

Very unpromising title for such a noisy, stomping rocker! One of the best songs on the album. It's a plea to his woman to leave this godawful planet & fly away with him to Mars or wherever. But who cares? It's the sound of it that counts. Love the fact that, among all the diseases & terrorists & horrors of earth, we also find "the easily offended". Yeah, I can see that they might hack Nick off more than Scud missiles or Asian flu!

yeah, this went from one of the most forgotten songs to one of my favorite. But i'd like to think that the easily offended are not the protagonists of this song. They're the ones who are stopping everyone from being touched.
