Fix what’s wrong, but don’t rewrite what the artist wrote. Stick to the official released version — album booklet, label site, verified lyric video, etc. If you’re guessing, pause and double-check.
Respect the structure
Songs have rhythm. Pages do too. Leave line breaks where they belong. Don’t smash things together or add extra empty space just for looks.
Punctuation counts (but vibe-editing doesn’t)
Correct typos? Yes. Re-punctuating a whole verse because it ‘looks better’? Probably not. Keep capitalization and punctuation close to the official source.
Don’t mix versions
If you’re editing the explicit version, keep it explicit. If it’s the clean version, keep it clean. No mashups.
Let the lyrics be lyrics
This isn’t the place for interpretations, memories, stories, or trivia — that’s what comments are for. Keep metadata, translations, and bracketed stage directions out unless they’re officially part of the song.
Edit lightly
If two lines are wrong… fix the two lines. No need to bulldoze the whole page. Think ‘surgical,’ not ‘remix.’
When in doubt, ask the crowd
Not sure what they’re singing in that fuzzy bridge? Drop a question in the comments and let the music nerds swarm. Someone always knows.
"The sun is shining" could be a parallel to how when the sun comes up, its the beginning of a new day, or new life; when you're born.
"Birds are singing" is how you are no longer part of a concept of being born into the world and are now actually part of life, or when you first learn to talk, hence "singing".
"Flowers are growing" is obviously the stage where you grow up and blossom into an individual that no longer needs the constant nurturing that a baby is supplied.
"Clouds are looming" is the only part I'm not too sure of..... Possibly it could be symbolic of how one's hair turns white and gray just like clouds when they get older? Maybe the looming clouds could be the thoughts that you think as you become aged and you remember your life when you were younger.... the things you never did and the things you did that you shouldn't have. Like that, I think.
"...and I am flying" is definitely showing a person who has died and turned into an angel; the afterlife, or possibly how the person lingers in peoples' minds that they touched while a living person? Either way, the person is gone, forever to float (or in this case, fly) among memories and the memory of them to be passed down in conversation and stories told unto the next generation and so forth....
Birth, Individuality, Growth, Aging, Death. For such a small amount of lyrics, they're such genius! Amazing song, it makes me cry :)
Imagine that we invented a translator device you can put in your ear and that can translate anything into understandable human language. Now imagine that you are in a forest, you put this device in your ear and turn it on; that's the first 20 seconds. The little device picks up any audible noise, and it tries to translate it real time. After the first 20 seconds, it successfully translates the bird chirping into english, and so basically you can hear and understand how the birds see the world.
