I'm Still A Guy Lyrics
When you see a deer you see Bambi
And I see antlers up on the wall
When you see a lake you think picnic
And I see a large mouth up under that log
You're probably thinking that you're going to change me
In some ways well maybe you might
Scrub me down, dress me up but no matter what
I'm still a guy
When you see a priceless French painting
I see a drunk, naked girl
You think that riding a wild bull sounds crazy
And I'd like to give it a whirl
Well love makes a man do some things he ain't proud of
And in a weak moment I might walk your sissy dog, hold your purse at the mall
But remember, I'm still a guy
I'll pour out my heart
Hold your hand in the car
Write a love song that makes you cry
Then turn right around knock some jerk to the ground
'Cause he copped a feel as you walked by
I can hear you now talking to your friends
Saying, "Yeah girls he's come a long way"
From dragging his knuckles and carrying a club
And building a fire in a cave
But when you say a backrub means only a backrub
Then you swat my hand when I try
Well, what can I say at the end of the day
Honey, I'm still a guy
I'll pour out my heart
Hold your hand in the car
Write a love song that makes you cry
Then turn right around knock some jerk to the ground
'Cause he copped a feel as you walked by
These days there's dudes getting facials
Manicured, waxed and botoxed
With deep spray-on tans and creamy lotiony hands
You can't grip a tacklebox
With all of these men lining up to get neutered
It's headin' now to be feminized
I don't highlight my hair
I've still got a pair
Yeah honey, I'm still a guy
Oh my eyebrows ain't plucked
There's a gun in my truck
Oh thank God, I'm still a guy
And I see antlers up on the wall
When you see a lake you think picnic
And I see a large mouth up under that log
You're probably thinking that you're going to change me

Reverie_In_Dust i just became a member to tell you that you are retarded.
lmfao!!!!
lmfao!!!!
reverie thats stupid that you would take time out of your homosexual life to bash a song you dont even like....
Rockitman, funny! Listen, this is what I love about country. Not afraid to be politically incorrect. He isnt bashing gay men. He is strickly talking about his relationship with his woman and how he is who he is and a woman cant change him so love him for who he is.
He isnt saying that getting facials and manicures is gay, he is just telling his girl that he doesnt do things that typically only women would normally do.
Nobody knocks songs about being gay so why bash this song?
I think it's just the judging way he talks about guys that do get facials and how much he doesn't want to be like that is pretty harsh and so people are getting offended.

There have been about 3 songs about being gay in all of history! but looking at the comments on here you can see why!

ok then here is the answer: you're born that way. I don't know why I like men...I just do and have been staring at them for as long as I can remember. It's out of my control and if I had to choose a gender to be attracted to, I would be straight. But I can't.
Then change, idiot...
Then change, idiot...
Hey Logan, when you bang a dude I'll bang a chick? Deal? Whats a matter, not attracted to men? Now you know how I feel! Who is the idiot again?

No one is born obese, or an alcoholic. Some people have genes that make them prone to these lifestyles. that that doesn't mean they should decide that, since they have those genes, they shouldn't try to stay in shape, or stay away from alcohol. The same applies to gay people.

You wouldn't say to an alcoholic, "you go sober, and I'll become a drunk." you wouldn't say to someone who is obese, "you lose weight, and I'll get fat." That's not how it works.

Being obese and being gay are completely incomparable- I don't get how people can think that! Did you as a straight guy decide one day when you were younger "you know what, today I'm gonna start looking at girls and finding them attractive"? no it just happened- why do people think that's what gays do?!

Daez isn't actually trying to make a deal! He's saying that if you find it impossible to find men attractive, and gays are just straight men that decided to try penis, surely they would find it impossible too!

And why the heck would...
And why the heck would anyone choose to be part of a minority group that is persecuted by people like you?- surely it's easier on everyone to be straight!
With regards to the song I love most of Brad Paisley's music, he's a genius so before anyone starts saying I should leave the page if i don't like the artist. I was fine with this song until the last verse- up until then it's just saying that men will be men and they can change a bit for women but will always be men, but that last verse is so judging on those who are different! Not cool.
well thats to bad. a key in a lock opens the door, but two keys can't accomplish much at all if you catch my drift. but people having conversations on this when you're supposed to say what the song means bugs me so peace love and rainbows dog
Wow. ALl of these comments are very.. dramatic. I personally love this song, and I don't think it's bashing gay people. He's just gonna stay a, manly man. I love Brad paisley, so lick my Mom.
I don't think he's bashing anyone in this song. He just like being very masculine and that's good for him :) I'm gay and I don't find this song to be offensive at all. I love this song

Haha, well if you are wondering, my comment is 90% sarcasm :)

But I kind of disagree - it's definitely bashing a certain type of man. There is nothing wrong with being a "manly" man (problematic term there) and liking being that way, except Brad Paisley seems to be implying that any guy who doesn't act in that "manly" way isn't "still a guy". The old gender roles and such. It's tiring to see it reinforced. I think it does more harm than good.

He never actually says its bad. In fact he says its "hip now to be feminized." That line actually implies he is the outcast and going against the norm. Since the norm is normally put above the rebelion from the norm, the lyrics actually imply that the things he doesn't do and the things he isn't is actually above what he does do. He is simply a man that wants to be a man.

this song is you of my favorite songs and if you dont like the song shut up and listen to something else
I don't think this song is trying to make fun of gay people either. Just like some men are gay, some men arn't and we have to be just as accepting about that.
i love this song. it's funny and sweet at the same time
You've got to have a sense of humor to like this song. It's hilarious.
He's just saying women shouldn't try to change men. He just did it using stereotypes.
Bad Paisley must have quite "a pair" to sing this song since it offends so many people, judging from the comments.
