A Dramatic Letter to Conscience Lyrics
White walls are caving in
Despite the calls I'm blaming sin
Waving lights make me lose my sight
Locked door is holding on
Wrecked room is waiting for
My confession, filled with depression
For me it's hard to gather my thoughts
And cover the paper with red coated ink
I can't begin to lay down the words
Already I have to stop for a second to think
This conversation with myself has taken place before
This deprivation from my life has broken me once more
Vague hesitation taught me
That I'm not so sure
Why are you, my conscience, needed for?
Leave me alone
For I have seen those desperate days
Don't beat me for long
Your fists are heavy, filled with hate
Leave me alone
Cause I have seen how lying pays
I see I was wrong
My eyes are steady
It's time to wait
I'd like to conclude my shallow letter
With everlasting words of despair
It's not wrong for you to scratch hollow walls
With never ending strokes of care
This conversation with myself has taken place before
This deprivation from my life has broken me once more
Now I know that I have
Found appealing cure
I think of you as a nature's healing metaphor
Leave me alone
For I have seen those desperate days
Don't beat me for long
Your fists are heavy, filled with hate
Leave me alone
Cause I have seen how lying pays
I see I was wrong
My eyes are steady
It's time to wait
Leave me alone
For I have seen those desperate days
Don't beat me for long
Your fists are heavy, filled with hate
Leave me alone
Cause I have seen how lying pays
I see I was wrong
My eyes are steady
It's time to wait
Leave me alone
For I have seen those desperate days
Don't beat me
Your fists are heavy, filled with hate
Leave me alone
Cause I have seen how lying pays
I see I was wrong
I was wrong
Despite the calls I'm blaming sin
Waving lights make me lose my sight
Locked door is holding on

firstly: it's awesome I'm the first person to comment on this band!
k, back to the song: ok its clear he's writing a letter or diary entry about something he's done wrong, or that was done to him. he keeps saying "leave me alone" and you have to wonder if he's talking about his conscience or another person: "why are you, my conscience, needed for" also he says "dont beat me for long, your fists are heavy, filled with hate" and again this could mean his guilt/conscience is beating him or it could mean he was attacked. maybe someone hit him because they were angry that he lied to him: "cause I have seen how lying pays" k so maybe he lied to his girlfriend about something and she hit him in anger and they broke up and now he's writing about how guilty he is... except it says "this conversation with myself has taken place before" so maybe this is something he has done before
