Trapped in a mine what had caved in
And everyone knows the only ones left
Were Joe
And me
And Tim
When they broke through to pull us free
The only ones left to tell the tale
Was Joe
And me
Timothy, Timothy
Where on earth did you go?
Timothy, Timothy
God, why don't I know?
Hungry as hell, no food to eat
And Joe said that he would sell his soul
For just
A piece
Of meat
Water enough to drink for two
And Joe said to me, "I'll take a swig
And then
There's some
For you"
Timothy, Timothy
Joe was looking at you
Timothy, Timothy
God, what did we do?
I must have blacked out just 'round then
'Cause the very next thing that I could see
Was the light
Of the day
Again
My stomach was full as it could be
And nobody ever got around
To finding
Timothy
Timothy, Timothy
Where on earth did you go?
Timothy, Timothy
God, why don't I know?
Timothy, yeah
Oh, Timothy
Timothy
And everyone knows the only ones left
Were Joe
And me
And Tim
When they broke through to pull us free
The only ones left to tell the tale
Was Joe
And me
Where on earth did you go?
Timothy, Timothy

pretty obvious what happened to Timothy.
@ohms Timothy went from a friend to a side of beef. Pretty neat song nonetheless.

Bad luck, Tim.
Those two other guys had some explaining to do about Timothy. Where did he go?
I never saw the album cover, but someone once told me that there was a picture of a cat on it (not sure about that). So the mystery was, did they eat a cat or a human? Whatever it was, they must haved liked it since their stomach's were full as they could be.
@boneric22 No cat involved thank goodness. Only a human was dined on.

@aquanyne correct - written by Rupert Holmes but for a different group that he had in mind - I have been told that he wrote it deliberately about cannibalism to intentionally get it banned from the radio - anyway, it made it to the charts b-4 anybody put 2&2 together about the lyrics - by then it was too late
