| Jethro Tull – Thick as a Brick (Parts 1 & 2) Lyrics

If you are serious, Jethro Tull was a 17th century agriculturist who invented the seed drill(a piece of farming equipment). Ian anderson(flute player and band leader), liked the name and subsequently named the group Jethro Tull. Please tell me you were joking. |

Why do people keep making that mistake? Jethro Tull was actually a 17th century agriculturist who invented a seed drill. Ian Anderson liked the name and subsequently named the group Jethro Tull. Ian Anderson is, however, a great song writer and musician.

I had the pleasure of seeing Lynyrd Skynyrd in concert 3 days before the plane crash. I believe Ronnie Van Zant once stated that he would not see his thirtieth birthday. He was correct. What a sad day that was. |

First rock concert I ever went to and it was fantastic. Bad Company was the guest group. I guess I'm giving away my age here. |

I never saw the album cover, but someone once told me that there was a picture of a cat on it (not sure about that). So the mystery was, did they eat a cat or a human? Whatever it was, they must haved liked it since their stomach's were full as they could be. |

I think Heavy Horses was Jethro Tull's most under-rated album. listen to it again if you haven't recently. You'll develop a profound appreciation for it. |

I believe Ian Anderson to be the greatest rock lyrisist ever. It's not just the music, but the lyrics as well. He definately has not been given the credit that he truly deserves. Maybe someday this will happen.
