The song lyrics were written by the band Van Halen, as they were asked to write a song for the 1979 movie "Over the Edge" starring Matt Dillon. The movie (and the lyrics, although more obliquely) are about bored, rebellious youth with nothing better to do than get into trouble. If you see the movie, these lyrics will make more sense. It's a great movie if you grew up in the 70s/80s you'll definitely remember some of these characters from your own life. Fun fact, after writing the song, Van Halen decided not to let the movie use it.
(keep me warm!)
it existed and come to we’re meant together
nothing could keep you warmer
what I wanna know is why your jabbing these feelings
make me lose control
so lets take out the goblet
point this straight ahead
we’ll hang them in admit they’re wrong
the girls giving jealousy
this is killing me
(this is killing me)
for worth your twelve inch
show that you still care
(stop this flame thrower)
(stop this flame thrower)
show that you feel
confusing thoughts with ceiling tiles
crashing fists of both grown solid
confusing thoughts with ceiling tiles
classic fists applaud
ceiling tiles from solid walls
it existed and come to we’re meant together
nothing could keep you warmer
what I wanna know is why your jabbing these feelings
make me lose control
so lets take out the goblet
point this straight ahead
we’ll hang them in admit they’re wrong
the girls giving jealousy
this is killing me
(this is killing me)
for wroth your twelve inch
show that you still care
(stop this flame thrower)
(stop this flame thrower)
show that you feel
this is spending me
this is eating me alive
the knife hits the ground
a corpse is laying cold
the ending hurts
(the ending hurts)
in stained water
(the end)
it existed and come to we’re meant together
nothing could keep you warmer

Amazing
Ed Sheeran
Ed Sheeran
Ed Sheeran tells a story of unsuccessfully trying to feel “Amazing.” This track is about the being weighed down by emotional stress despite valiant attempts to find some positivity in the situation. There aren’t many things that’ll hurt more than giving love a chance against your better judgement only to have your heart crushed yet again. Ed Sheeran tells such a story on “Page.” On this track, he is devastated to have lost his lover and even more saddened by the feeling that he may never move on from this.
Plastic Bag

“Plastic Bag” is a song about searching for an escape from personal problems and hoping to find it in the lively atmosphere of a Saturday night party. Ed Sheeran tells the story of his friend and the myriad of troubles he is going through. Unable to find any solutions, this friend seeks a last resort in a party and the vanity that comes with it.
“I overthink and have trouble sleepin’ / All purpose gone and don’t have a reason / And there’s no doctor to stop this bleedin’ / So I left home and jumped in the deep end,” Ed Sheeran sings in verse one. He continues by adding that this person is feeling the weight of having disappointed his father and doesn’t have any friends to rely on in this difficult moment. In the second verse, Ed sings about the role of grief in his friend’s plight and his dwindling faith in prayer. “Saturday night is givin’ me a reason to rely on the strobe lights / The lifeline of a promise in a shot glass, and I’ll take that / If you’re givin’ out love from a plastic bag,” Ed sings on the chorus, as his friend turns to new vices in hopes of feeling better.
i have absolutely no idea what this song is about...

I think its about a boy who thinks this girl and him should be together, but theres other people getting in the way of it, maybe by saying stuff about him. he wants her to show that she still loves him.
I know these lyrics are wrong... there's no way old Chiodos could write a song worse than their new stuff. But seriously, these are wrong.
yeah sounds to me like he's saying "you're supposed to recall what brings [us] back together nothing could keep you warmer wear my heart on my sleeve, jabbing these feelings, make me lose control so let's take off the gauntlet, worth this charity We'll hand them in, make sure they were off girls' give you jealousy"
and I believe it's
"crashing fists of bones grown solid"
it'd make more sense.
It's about an old fashioned type dual. a gauntlet is a type of medieval armor that protects the hands, and he's talking about a knife in the end.
I don't know. these lyrics are horribly off and I can't hear a lot of what he's saying. So I really can't come to a definition......
Am I the only one that hears "(keep me warm) through this blistering cold"???
