Killer Lyrics

I hate my work, but I’m in control
I’m fearless now, but it cost my soul
Save yourselves, the moon is full
Under it's power, gravitational pull
Blood red lips, they shake like leaves
You’re flesh and blood, but what’s underneath?

Don't turn out the lights
Kiss yourself good night cos there's a killer
And he's coming after you
Kiss yourself goodnight tonight
Cos there's a killer and he's coming after you

It's alright to scream, I’m screaming too
Why’d you think I do the things I do?
For shadows haunted me like ghosts
So I became what I feared the most
I conduct fear like electricity
A man-made monstrosity

I think the guy singing is the killer he's talking about. He's warning people about himself.

I swear this song was written for Heath's Joker in The Dark Knight. Even though this song came out before the movie, these lyrics sound perfect for The Joker.

My Opinion

I think that has sort of two meanings?

One is the obvious - warning others of him beign a killer.

But the other one that sprang to my mind was mainstreaming of music. "I’m fearless now, but it cost my soul" lots of very manufactured singers seem completely unbeatable but also a bit... personality-less

"A man-made monstrosity"

"Why’d you think I do the things I do? For shadows haunted me like ghosts So I became what I feared the most" being pressured into it?

I dunno. the mroe I think, the less it makes sense... (:

I think it could be about drugs, but then again you could say that about a LOT of songs.
