This is probably my favourite song right now, it's so beautiful. I think it's about having your heart broken and being hurt really badly by someone. You still love them very much, and want to be with them, but you know you have to leave them behind and move on, because of what they did. It's about having to protect yourself from that person and from heartbreak.
