Sent from heaven
Sent from heaven

Now you can wait your whole life wondering
When it's gonna come or where it's been
You may have got your heart broken
A few times in the past
It never last strong as it used to
It don't feel as good as it used to before
And all the things you used to say
Things you used to do, went right out the door

Ooh, no more, will you be the one
That's what you tell everyone around you
But you know they've heard it all before
What more can you say
When love won't let you, walk away (when love)
You can't help all your love (just can't help who you love)
And you find yourself giving it all away
When you think you're in love
Ooh, 'cause

I wanna be the one who you believe
In your heart is sent from (sent from heaven)
(Sent from above)
And there's a piece of me who believes when you gone
Because you're sent from (sent from heaven)
(Ooh, 'cause)
I wanna be the one who you believe
In your heart is sent from (sent from heaven)
And there's a piece of me who believes when you gone
Because you're sent from (sent from heaven)

Now you can wait your whole life tryna change
What the fear from what it's been
You may have put your whole life into a man
Loving what you thought it could've been
Notice when you change
And you don't feel as good as you used to before
And everything you used to say
Everything you used to do clear right out the door

Ooh, no more, will you be the one
That's what you tell everyone around you
But you know they've heard it all before
What more can you say
When love won't let you, walk away
And it can't help who it loves
And you find yourself giving it all away
When you think you're in love
'Cause I wanna be, hey, yeah

I wanna be the one who you believe
In your heart is sent from (sent from heaven)
(Sent from above, yeah)
And there's a piece of me who leaves when you're gone
Because you're sent from (sent from heaven)
(I wanna be the one)
I wanna be the one who you believe
(Hey)
In your heart is sent from (sent from heaven)
(Oh)
And there's a piece of me who leaves when you're gone
(Yeah)
Because you're sent from (sent from heaven)

Now everybody say I wanna be the one you love
I wanna be the one you love (sent from heaven)
Everybody say I wanna be the one you trust
I wanna be the one you trust (sent from heaven)
Now everybody say I wanna be the one you need
I wanna be the one you need (sent from heaven)
Hey, everybody say I wanna be the one who
I wanna be the one (sent from heaven)
Sent from heaven

I wanna be the one who you believe
In your heart is sent from (sent from heaven)
(Hey, sent from above, yeah)
And there's a piece of me who believes when you gone
Because you're sent from (sent from heaven)
(I wanna be the one)
I wanna be the one who you believe
(Oh)
In your heart is sent from (sent from heaven)
(Hey)
And there's a piece of me who leaves when you're gone
Because you're sent from (sent from heaven)

I wanna be the one who you believe
In your heart is sent from (sent from heaven)
And there's a piece of me who leaves when you're gone
Because you're sent from (sent from heaven)
I wanna be the one-

its not a hard song to analyze if you been in love before.

First part: if you have been in love with someone and you had a break up. the next person you date you are gonna be more careful and protect yourself emotionally so your feelings wont be hurt. thats why it doesnt feel like it used to before. And you dont live your life like you used to because your depressed and dont want to do things that made you happy.

second part: basically your telling your friends how you feel about that person that you love and telling them you wont get caught up over someone like that ever again, but it happens again and again and they are tired of hearing your sob stories. You are telling yourself for what ever reason not to love them anymore, but you cant help it cause deep in your heart you are still in love with that person.

chorus: you are basically pouring your heart out to them telling them to love you and that you love them.

third part: she's basically spelling it out to you: "You may have put your whole life into a man Loving what you thought that could've been." but they dont feel the same way about you, so now your feelings are hurt.

    everthing else is a repeat.

    kinda hard song to analyse

it sounds like this girls had bad relationships in the past hence the "heart broken a few times in the past" and shes sick and tired of getting hurt, and just wants to feel true love, love so strong that a piece of you leaves when ur not with them. i dont think its aimed at a specific guy, i think shes trying to piece together what she thinks love is and that she basically wants to feel these things.

i think the first two lines means when girls are like when am i ever gonna meet mr right? and realistically, love suprises you when you least expect it.

"dont feel as good as u used to" i think means youve been in and out of love so many times that being in relationships doesnt feel as good as (for example) your first love.

BTW these lyrics are so wrong!! i wish i cud change em

Actually when I first heard this song at the chorus "sent from heaven", I thought she sang "six foot seven". And I really really wondered what the songwriter would want to do with such a specific height. :-p

When I know it, this song is sad but there's still some hope. I feel that the lyrics tone is similar to "Soulmate" from Natasha Bedingfield.

Fortnight
Taylor Swift
The song 'Fortnight' by Taylor Swift and Post Malone tells a story about strong feelings, complicated relationships, and secret wishes. It talks about love, betrayal, and wanting someone who doesn't feel the same. The word 'fortnight' shows short-lived happiness and guilty pleasures, leading to sadness. It shows how messy relationships can be and the results of hiding emotions. “I was supposed to be sent away / But they forgot to come and get me,” she kickstarts the song in the first verse with lines suggesting an admission to a hospital for people with mental illnesses. She goes in the verse admitting her lover is the reason why she is like this. In the chorus, she sings about their time in love and reflects on how he has now settled with someone else. “I took the miracle move-on drug, the effects were temporary / And I love you, it’s ruining my life,” on the second verse she details her struggles to forget about him and the negative effects of her failure. “Thought of callin’ ya, but you won’t pick up / ‘Nother fortnight lost in America,” Post Malone sings in the outro.

Fast Car
Tracy Chapman
"Fast car" is kind of a continuation of Bruce Springsteen's "Born to Run." It has all the clawing your way to a better life, but in this case the protagonist never makes it with her love; in fact she is dragged back down by him. There is still an amazing amount of hope and will in the lyrics; and the lyrics themselve rank and easy five. If only music was stronger it would be one of those great radio songs that you hear once a week 20 years after it was released. The imagery is almost tear-jerking ("City lights lay out before us", "Speeds so fast felt like I was drunk"), and the idea of starting from nothing and just driving and working and denigrating yourself for a chance at being just above poverty, then losing in the end is just painful and inspiring at the same time.

Holiday
Bee Gees
@[Diderik:33655] "Your a holiday!" Was a popular term used in the 50s/60s to compliment someone on their all around. For example, not only are they beautiful, but they are fun and kind too ... just an all around "holiday". I think your first comment is closer to being accurate. The singer/song writers state "Millions of eyes can see, yet why am i so blind!? When the someone else is me, its unkind its unkind". I believe hes referring to the girl toying with him and using him. He wants something deeper with her, thats why he allows himself to be as a puppet (even though for her fun and games) as long as it makes her happy. But he knows deep down that she doesnt really want to be serious with him and thats what makes him.

Mountain Song
Jane's Addiction
Jane's Addiction vocalist Perry Farrell gives Adam Reader some heartfelt insight into Jane’s Addiction's hard rock manifesto "Mountain Song", which was the second single from their revolutionary album Nothing's Shocking. Mountain song was first recorded in 1986 and appeared on the soundtrack to the film Dudes starring Jon Cryer. The version on Nothing's Shocking was re-recorded in 1988. "'Mountain Song' was actually about... I hate to say it but... drugs. Climbing this mountain and getting as high as you can, and then coming down that mountain," reveals Farrell. "What it feels to descend from the mountain top... not easy at all. The ascension is tough but exhilarating. Getting down is... it's a real bummer. Drugs is not for everybody obviously. For me, I wanted to experience the heights, and the lows come along with it." "There's a part - 'Cash in now honey, cash in Miss Smith.' Miss Smith is my Mother; our last name was Smith. Cashing in when she cashed in her life. So... she decided that, to her... at that time, she was desperate. Life wasn't worth it for her, that was her opinion. Some people think, never take your life, and some people find that their life isn't worth living. She was in love with my Dad, and my Dad was not faithful to her, and it broke her heart. She was very desperate and she did something that I know she regrets."

Gentle Hour
Yo La Tengo
This song was originally written by a guy called Peter Gutteridge. He was one of the founders of the "Dunedin Sound" a musical scene in the south of New Zealand in the early 80s. From there it was covered by "The Clean" one of the early bands of that scene (he had originally been a member of in it's early days, writing a couple of their best early songs). The Dunedin sound, and the Clean became popular on american college radio in the mid to late 80s. I guess Yo La Tengo heard that version. Great version of a great song,
