At Your Enemies Lyrics
Operate with full knowledge of
What will become of them
I surrounded a jail is sickening
God fear in man, who were there who were me
and open up your can of worms
Let them at your enemies
What will become of them
I surrounded a jail is sickening
God fear in man, who were there who were me
Let them at your enemies

I always interpreted the lyrics in the chorus as "open up your can of worms, let them at your enemies". It's really hard to tell because of the way Josh K smears his words (for whatever reason) into one looooong syllable. It's sort of like the way people's voices sound when you first wake up from anesthesia...so fuzzy and distant.
As far as what the song means, I really don't know, but it seems to conjure some idea of malice, of retaliation. Again, it would help if the words were intelligible, but at the same time, that would ruin the effect! What a great mood this piece creates.
Yeah I definitely think the lyrics are "Open up your can of worms, let them at your enemies". Amazing song, by the way.
surprised no one has commented here, but equally i dont know what this song means? thoughts?
One of my favorites hands down! Josh Klinghoffer's voice is so other-worldly. It gives me chills down my spine, and puts my head in the clouds. If the real lyrics are "Open your can of worms, let them at your enemies" I would think that he means to let yourself be vulnurable to your enemies..? I'm not sure though. The confusion that these lyrics create in my head is what I personally think makes it so great.
I did not hear any of the lyrics in the song. Josh's voice is so amazingly other-worldly that I just cannot understand any of it. I understand Communique a bit better.
