This song is one of my favorite songs... it's one of those songs that are spot on about how I'm feeling right now.

This part means(to me) that the two lovers were feeling lost and alone in the world until they found eachother, and when they became close, they told eachother everything.

I think here its speaking of the secrets they created with eachother.

This ones a bit self explainatory, but it's saying how one of the couple supposedly has some problems, but the other loves him/her anyways.

i don't know about anyone else, but this song reminds me a little of phillip pullman's trilogy. - in particular "the amber spyglass"
