I can't beleve no one commented this this is my altime favorite song. It makes me think of my future boyfriend. Haha well I think its about a girl and she's inlove and she knows tthey love eachother but she doesn't need a wedding tolet the world that they love eachother

This is one of my favorite songs by Sara Evans. I agree with our hearts desire on the whole acting as if everything's ok. The music video kind of shows this too, in a way.

This song has nothing to do with a relationship that is perfect. It's about pretending a relationship is perfect, so that you don't lose your mind. Because sometimes things are balanced precariously, too precariousl y to bring up the problems, so you just pretend they aren't there so that things can last a little longer. This song is just describing that act of putting your finger in the hole in the dam. You're just holding back the inevitable. Hence why she says "As If". Not that they are, just that she's acting as if they are.
