This song is not about rape, or vampires, or rough sex. This song is actually about the satisfaction of taking someone's life and the thrill of killing. This is actually what the band's meaning of the song is, they said themselves, so don't go thinking its about a rapist, or vampire because you're just making a fool of yourself.

sandiejenkins. They sound great and no they are not sellouts they just sound different. If you don't like them anymore quit cryin like a little girl and find a new band to like.

I really think he's comparing vampires, to raping someone. Like, it's a metaphor. :)

think about it that way people, I mean seriously? If it was just about vampires, i really think thats kind of silly. but if he just came out and said "THIS SONG'S ABOUT RAPE!!!" then it would kinda have no importance to the song, the meaning would be kinda blunt.

but thats just me :)

I think this song is a reference to the scream movie. The reason for this is just before they play this live in the LBC video they play what I believe is to be an exerpt from the movie and it makes sense.

The woman is wanting to scream but doesnt want to She keeps running from him But she realises that she has wasted her time when its too late

He's saying that everyone has lost control during their lives That all people have had time to grow Dont quite get third line He'll hunt again

This song is about rape. He talks about losing control and waking the animal feelings inside. The part that really gave it away to me was,

"Relax while you're closing your eyes to me So warm as I'm setting you free With your arms by your side there's no struggling Pleasure's all mine this time"

He is saying she needs to close her eyes while she can't move. The pleasure is obviously all his because he is raping her.

This may be the only part where i have confusion. I think that he doesn't want to be a rapist but he loses control and can't help but continue to do it. I get that from, "I'm hoping I'm wrong but I know I'm right, I'll hunt again one night."

Over all, best song on the CD to me. Please post if anyone agrees with me.

It's definately about losing control sexually. I don't know if I'd go as far as to call it rape, though. The speaker knows he's wrong but can't help it. He also knows it will happen again.

I have a feeling this was a fantasy for most of you. The reason Shadows says that live is because it FEELS and SOUNDS that way. He was marketing with the female audience so that they'd be more into it, because it's no secret that (insert controversial statement here.) I can't blame you for thinking that it was about rape, or vampires; but, noooooo. Although, they probably have respect for the good vampires.
