I know their manager well and I asked him what this song was about. He didn't elaborate but he said it was about a dream Jesse (lead singer) had.

to me this song is about getting older. maybe the autumn of life when beauty and youthfullness is waning.
This song is about death, specifically Autumn as a metaphor for death.
