Wait, there's never been a mess like this
No more hands to hold
When the page turns tomorrow, with the hurt to give up
Curses as god has (sold us)
Believe me, hell has no room for your crime
So beat me till the blood and the bone finds our end near

Bye, bye world, or will our hope still hold on?
And boy, you're never gonna see
The things that'll come of these

Raise your hands high, young brothers and sisters
There's a world's worth of work and a need for you
Oh, change is coming, feel these doors now closing in
Is there no world for tomorrow, if we wait for today?

So march to the drumming
Show them you're coming
You've been their play
Cut to the carving
Bleed them 'til running
Enough, they'll take no more

You've been living off their power, boy
Now go and make your move
Curse us, these gods aren't faking
Have mercy on the cowards, boys
They'll pray to have you lose
Help us, this world's now breaking

So now they've noticed all you've given in sound
Let us in, let us in
Give me love over life the sweet soft of ground
Let us in, let us in now

Bye, bye world, or will our hope still hold on?
And boy, you're never gonna see
The things that'll come of these

Raise your hands high, young brothers and sisters
There's a world's worth of work and a need for you
Oh, change is coming, feel these doors now closing in
Is there no world for tomorrow, if we wait for today?

So march to the drumming
Show them you're coming
You've been their play
Cut to the carving
Bleed them 'til running
Enough, they'll take no more

In the light we'll sing, as all hurt must bring
In the falling cusp of all broken things
In the coming dusk, you will call on us
And unite we must, I'm the Crowing, thus

You all think you've figured me out, do as I say
Your words mean nothing at all, so now, I lay
I said, "Come, momma, come, momma, as I need"
I said, "Come, momma, come, momma, watch it bleed"

Oh, what did I do to deserve all of this?
What did I do to deserve all of you?

Raise your hands high, young brothers and sisters
There's a world's worth of work and a need for you
Oh, change is coming, feel these doors now closing in
Is there no world for tomorrow, if we wait for today?
Bye, bye world, or will our hope still hold on?

i think it's kinda interesting because they also used that "lyrical flashback" to Blood Red Summer in the Last album in the song Willing Well III... while also lyrically referenceing the song Everything Evil. and in other songs they've went back to previous lyrics and names from the past albums as well. I think it's cool

Ministry
Both as a standalone and as part of the DSOTS album, you can take this lyric as read. As a matter of public record, Jourgensen's drug intake was legendary even in the 1980s. By the late 90s, in his own words, he was grappling with massive addiction issues and had lost almost everything: friends, spouse, money and had nearly died more than once. "Dark Side of the Spoon" is a both funny & sad title for an album made by a musical genius who was losing the plot; and this song is a message to his fans & friends saying he knows it. It's painful to listen to so I'm glad the "Keith Richards of industrial metals" wised up and cleaned up. Well done sir.

Techno Ted
Audioslave
Techno Ted may be a person who caused Chris incredible emotional pain & trepidation as well as moments of peace & happiness but now is removed and awaiting his fate. Darling may be a different person who is also free of him and can live her life free of Ted's tyranny. "In between all the laughing, and daydreams ... lies: a desert of truth" Lies are like a desert or the omission of Truth: Where there were Lies then Truth was absent. The song, "Techno Ted", may be a cathartic celebration of the downfall of this person.

Son Şansın - Şarkı Sözleri
Hayalperest
This song seemingly tackles the methods of deception those who manipulate others use to get victims to follow their demands, as well as diverting attention away from important issues. They'll also use it as a means to convince people to hate or kill others by pretending acts of terrorism were committed by the enemy when the acts themselves were done by the masters of control to promote discrimination and hate. It also reinforces the idea that these manipulative forces operate in various locations, infiltrating everyday life without detection, and propagate any and everywhere. In general, it highlights the danger of hidden agendas, manipulation, and distraction, serving as a critique of those who exploit chaos and confusion to control and gain power, depicting a cautionary tale against falling into their traps. It encourages us to question the narratives presented to us and remain vigilant against manipulation in various parts of society.

Magical
Ed Sheeran
How would you describe the feeling of being in love? For Ed Sheeran, the word is “Magical.” in HIS three-minute album opener, he makes an attempt to capture the beauty and delicacy of true love with words. He describes the magic of it all over a bright Pop song produced by Aaron Dessner.
