Ha a dig at A7X that would be funny, A7X is a better band, and yes I know my name is from an Atreyu song. But Avenged is so much better, lyrically and musically.

To me, this song reminds me a lot of the struggle for gay rights, especially the line "It's not a choice, but something inborn." It's probably not the meaning they had in mind when they wrote it, but that's the great thing about songs: you can read your own meanings into them, or decide that songs have specific meaning to you.
I think, at the end of the day, they're basically saying "Be who you are, and fuck the haters." Which is totally applicable to a myriad of situations.
I hate it when people complain that bands change their their music. So what. They sound better in my opinion. It's not because they made it in a year. And this song isn't screaming at Atreyu's fans to get over their new style, that is the dumbest thought ever. No band would ever do that. It's talking about people that spread bullshit rumors and lies and they need to quit because there's no gain from it and it shows their own stupidity. I agree with subwaydude. Most of what I'm saying is pointed to sufinati0n, that person seems to have no thought about what good music is. Not that I'm saying Atreyu's older songs are bad. I love all their songs, just like a true fan would. Same with people complaining about Avenged Sevenfold's new style. It's what they wanted to to. Not to mention, I'm sure they're just showing that no matter what stupid subgenre or genre you put them in, , their the best at what they do. (to me there is no metalcore or hardcore. just rock, metal, country rap, not stupid subgenres)

...this is the shit you get when a band only takes a year to write an album. money is thrown all over the place for them to quickly finish it and you [the listeners] aren't gonna get anything in return but a band singing about nothing. seriously, what is the point of 2 singers in a band when one of them doesnt scream that much anymore!? ...alex and brandon made the best duo a band could offer. they cancel each other out when both are singing and its pointless...I'm gonna buy this cd on friday just cuz i'm a big fan, but this shit...this shit isnt worth anything to me. Sure, they changed their sound, and pretty much everything else a band could do. I never want bands to stay the exact same from cd to cd but this shit!? haha
