The Undertaker's Thirst for Revenge Is Unquenchable (The Final Battle) Lyrics
This song was beautifully written.Nice job Craig. I believe that its about being terrible stabbed in the back by a friend or girlfriend.I think that the writer would have trusted his companion with his life and would follow them through death and back. But his companion betrayed him, betrayed all they had, and all that they both stood for.The betrayal has left the writer so confused about everything and he wonders why he hadn't seen this wolf in sheep's skin.As a result the writer can no longer trust anyone. He truly believes that everyone is just a good actor "All the worlds a stage" and they will use you for their own personal gain even if they have to hold your head under to stay above themself. He no longer believes that people do anything to help someone other than themselves in the long run. If your on the ground and they will get nothing out of helping you up, they will leave you their. From this he has given up on the possibility that all men's hearts are nothing more than corrupt.
Yeah, 1st comment of many to come! p.s-This is my personal interpretation of the song and mine alone. You dont have to agree.
At the end of the album version, craig says,
"empty is the sky before the sun wakes up empty is the eyes of animals in cages empty the faces of women in mourning when everything has been taken from them me? don't ask me about empty"
you might want to add that in there.
... this song has to be chiodos's best, top 3 best atleast, song
Pretty sure the meaning of the song is actually a WWE reference. I think I remember Jim Ross saying this about The Undertaker when he feuded with his brother Kane. The lyrics match up to the storyline also.
It's seems to me it's the prospective of the Devil/Satan and the final show down between him and god and how he is remember the good times with god and how is now feeling abandoned by the human race and this is his only way to resolve his problem or what ever between god
i'm too lazy to do a whole interpretation, but what i can say, and to point out the obvious is the line "all the world's a stage", which many of you will probably know is taken from shakespeare. i just heard this song yesterday, it's pretty good. and sweet, first comment :)
yeah im to lazy to do a whole interpretation too. but when i read this song, it makes me think of the final showdown between God, and satan. i could be way off, but thats just what i see when i read it. and this song is real good.
i actually really like that idea... the final showdown between god and satan.

those kinda make sense but to me its something along the lines of a relationship or friendship gone wrong and the first four lines mean that the other person in has gone and started a lie about the writer, then in his situation the writer ended up going insane because he couldnt believe the lies and murdered the other. hence the blood on the walls verse. maybe thats just me? who knows? oh well this is my first post WOO!!!
oh yea craig owens and nick martin really need to start a band :|
The showdown theory makes sense. I was kind of getting the God vs Satan theme in Teeth The Size of Piano Keys. Not entirely sure though, it could have multiple meanings.
yeah i was kinda half asleep when i wrote that yesterday, i read it today and it doesnt even really make sense now.
