Bye Bye Blues (The Whole West Coast Is Ruined) Lyrics

The ocean pours from her eyes,
While the statues crumble aside,
And this city overrun with traffic,
Is so overconcentrated with this static.
And I scream, and nobody listens.
And I scream, yet everyone's louder.
Drink until everything seems to make sense,
In this desperate night we were all wearing costume.

Lie awake until the stomach settles.
Just one taste will make it all feel better.

I don't fear.
I don't care.
You never had the guts to face me.

Kill.

(I need you.
Bye bye blues.)

Kill.

Lie awake until the stomach settles.
Just one taste will make it all feel better.

"I don't believe we've met.
Allow me to introduce myself."
I don't believe we've met.
When I look at you I see myself.

I think this is when she found out and so did the town and everyone is running and leaving most likely in fear and the cars and or vehicles are moving and she tries to tell someone but no one listens and then she talks to her man which she doesnt know who it even is since she knowns he is the killer and she doesnt know the man that is before her And all she can say is bye to the pepole that are leaving pretty much and she wants to not die so she is going to try and talk to him and get to know what is going on And she see's in him somethign different and maybe similar as her self in his eyes maybe idk im just taking a stab at it

And I scream, and nobody listens. And I scream, yet everyone's louder.

Maybe he's trying to tell people it's him, but no one will listen, there seems to be a lot of commotion because of these murders.

In this desperate night we were all wearing costume.

In "It's Pretty Hard To Beat The King" he mentions wearing a suit. Maybe others are trying to say they're the killer as well as him so no one believes him..

here2solve has it down for this one I think it's about people claiming to be the murderer just like the Black Dahlia case

anyhoo

"This city overrun by traffic" people are leaving the town

as for the "When I look at you I see myself" I believe it refers to the mirror referenced throughout the album. (part of the theory about him seeing every woman as his wife)

I don't know why though but I get a feeling that in this song he kills a group (maybe the title) but really focusses on the girl. I mean on the cover it says stuff like double homicide or group killed or some shit like that...

just throwing ideas out there

Well, first of all, this whole thing about Saylor Lake is a fictional story that Danny Stillman, the lead singer of the band, created. And according to all the articles I read, the rest of the band got super into the idea and created the whole story line. And its the fans job to use the lyrics, and their website www.worsethanafairytale.com, to figure out the mystery of who the killer is. This website and the songs are like clues. Well, since I have been a dedicated fan for two years, I've analyzed like EVERY song. Haha. No, this song is not from the victims point of view. All songs on this album is from the killers point of view. And I have this theory that the killer is a vampire. In this song, he's scared because everyones fleeing Saylor Lake out of fear. And "Lie awake until the stomach settles. Just one taste will make it all feel better"...exactly. This is JUST a theory though. They haven't revealed who the real killer is. Check on other songs from this album for my comments, and see why I think this. Haha :]

i kind of agree with here2solve on the "And I scream, and nobody listens And I scream, yet everyone's louder" part. it's a little strange, but i just read the scarlet letter, and those two lines (along with drawing the devil) reminded me a bit of the book. in the book the reverend has sinned and when he tries to confess, the people of the town don't take him seriously and they just praise him more for being so humble and allegorical. that sort of goes along with some people's "the pastor is the murderer" theory, so i just thought i'd throw that out there.
