Six Moons Ago Lyrics

six moons ago
the devil came
to dress my wounds
golden embrace
we walked for miles
came to a cave
came to a tower
explored for hours

mother, please you could never know
the love that lucifer had to show
and good lord, I never
never thought I'd say
I've found my path
and I've lost my way

oh no
oh no...

This is so lovely. His voice is so captivating when its put purely without electricity flying about the place The words make you want to cry and hug your pillow tighter... Well, me. Since Patrick often serves as a lullaby for nights I can't sleep.

I though it was 'gold in embrace' - but don't listen to me. I'm the queen of wrong.

"Gold in embrace" doesn't make sense (golden sounds better) and I think it's "the love that Lucifer had to show". I'm just getting this all from recordings of this song from when he performed it at the Tate Modern.

Where did you get the recordings from? I just found some on youtube, and I think it must have been a brilliant event with the acoustics and all, but I can't remember this one here... Would love to get my hands and ears on some quality recordings from that performance...

:)

Scouring this PW profile to find any of his songs I haven't heard, while I eagerly await his next release. Where can I find this song?

Lulu, I totally agree. Patrick Wolf music is lullaby music! Or can be. Especially this b side, the Tower. Man, I could listen to his crooning voice all day and night and not get tired of it. I have used it as lullaby music before.
