They took their armor off.
Laid the weapons at your feet.
Dashed up on the rocks.
Fillings melted from the heat.
That’s like I read in the paper.
Unlock the pen, yeah.
Battle ice and make it a good one.
Dairy-Ann.
Last light going down.
Fall in.
We’re stuck in traffic here.
We’ll watch the sun freeze.
It took the mail to fall in tow.
It took the place of fallen snow.
I don’t know how it’s frozen there.
I don’t know what it’s frozen in.
I found it in you your file.
That a sea was made to burn.
Like a fire draped in white.
Not a soul was kept inside.
That makes it still alive.
And I can never go home again.
Feel so sick.
Pay no price.
Stray so far.
Play no more.
Hi speed now
We will wait for you.

its not "Dairy-Ann" its Darien. Like Darien Barnes the football player nice try though
All the lyrics I posted on this site were copied directly from a PDF file of the lyrics for Autumn of the Seraphs that Touch and Go Records published.
What you mentioned makes sense though. Just a funny pun I suppose.
weird yeah i have those same lyrics but i never really looked for it on there
just a wild guess but maybe its about John Andrew Barnes III who was a american first class private who fought in vietnam and died by jumping onto a grenade to protect his unit. i think the first line might be about how he had gunned down 9 enemy units. then when it says "last light going down we're stuck in traffic here" its referring to last chance of living but its gonna be tough to get out of here. and the whole snowy scene in this might just be because he had died in november. and then in the next set of lyrics "i found it in your file..." is referring to the fact that pretty much no one would make it out of vietnam. "that sea was made to burn like a fire draped in white, not a soul was left inside" the sea being vietnam covered in snow and no one was left alive inside so he knows now that he can never go home again after goin to vietnam.
very well could be but i really think its about darien banres because they say darien. but your guess would be more accurate and a better story for the album i mean they have a song about larry walters

'We'll watch the sun freeze' - The intensity of those words is indescribable...
I know! My mind explodes! it's one of those crazy images that makes you have to just stop and picture it in your head... but i kinda just love everytime they go "yeah" hah! it's so... funky? yea.. definitely
They seem to have a lot of those single lines that can make the mind wander. So crazy...
gotta love pinback! awesome musicians and writers.
i haven't had the time to actually sit down and figure the meaning, or what it means to me anyway, because i'm too busy just listening to how it hooks your ears and puts you in an ecstatic mood.
