such a happy song, i love the banjo
Cranley is clearly referring to Evan Cranley
When I was a Sprint customer and I would call them regarding my phone bill or whatever, and they'd put me on hold, this song would always come on. The weirdest thing. At first I thought it couldn't have been the same song, but I heard the little drum fill thing around 2:46 and knew it was. Totally bizarre; how did Sprint work this song into their hold music repertoire?
Maybe related to whomever managed to snag an Architecture in Helsinki song for their TV spots...

Funny. You're comment reminds me of another comment off CBC Radio 3. "Silvergold" said that he/she never got into BSS because she kept hearing their stuff as muzak [I think it might be mostly BSS's more ambient selections] from various sources... on the elevator, at a medical clinic reception, when put on hold on the phone... Basically it was very much a turn-off and annoyance.
