La la la laa
La la
La la la laa
La la
La la la laa
La la

Me, I
Made my bed for the very first time...
Today!

Me, I, me, I
Made my bed for the very first time...
Today!

Me, I
Walked around with
Hospital corners

Me, I
When my momma said, "What'd you do today?"
I said, "Momma, I just... I just..."

Me, I
Made my bed for the very first time...
Today! Aaaaaa-aaaa-a-aaaaaa-ay!

Me, I
Built in pillows that hold the shape of
Hospital corners

Me, I
When my momma said, "What'd did you do?"
I just said, "Me, I"

Momma!
Momma!
Momma!
Momma!
Momma!
Momma!
Momma!
Momma!

Me, I
Made my bed for the very first time...
Today!

Me, I
Made my bed for the very first time...
Today!

Well, momma said...
She said, "Son, what you been doin' all day?"
And I said, "I'm tryin' to make a place for myself..."

Where I can dream
Where I can dream
Where I can dream
Where I can dream
Where I can dream
Where I can dream
Where I can dream
Where I can dream
Where I can dream
Where I can dream
Where I can dream
Where I can dream

And never, ever have to wake up.

And never, ever have to wake up.

As for what it's about, I don't think there's any hidden meaning. It's simply about the joy that a child feels the first time they've done something by his or herself without any adult intervention. Do you remember the first time you made your bed, tied your shoes or zipped up your jacket for the first time? That's what this song's about.

From what I hear from the song and see from the the video this song has two meanings... 1 young guy so doped from drugs he was put in an mental institute and is crying for his mom... 2 this is a young man living an everyday dreary life, every decision he has made in his life is catching up with him. If you watch the video it shows the bird going the stages in life... meet a female, make babies, buying food.... witch all come chasing you often as they are the bills we pay on a regular basis... making us go back to work and having poeple stomp all over us.... guy like that can only wish to forget about it all and go back to living with momma. In the video when he yells out momma the bird is surrounded by by trees like he is looking for the tree that he came from... The "bills" stop chasing him and he dances around like he succeded.... but its a place for him to dream.

I tried my best with these lyrics. It was hard cause I have ear problems and the song is fuzzy. I'm beginning to think the first lyrics might be the same as "in my bed for breakfast time today" I'm not sure on the whole song but some parts I am.

I don't listen to them that much but when I heard this song I had to find out the lyrics and couldn't find any so I tried it myself.

You can find the song on the Warm n Scratchy album here.

Okay, here's what I could come up with for what you lost... "with my friends for the first time today"

Second line (along with the ones that you put as "In my bed for breakfast time today) is actually "made my bed for the very first time today"

As for the "songmeaning"....my guess is about as good as anybody elses. To put it simply, this song is not only confusing, but also fairly awful :D

As for the pillow thing, I have no clue, man... no clue.

Me-I is a social philosophy. Me is the socialized aspect of the person. The "Me" is what is learned in interaction with others and (more generally) with the environment: other people's attitudes, once internalized in the self, constitute the Me.

I is the active aspect of a person.'the "I" is the response of the individual to the attitude of the community'. The "I" acts creatively, though within the context of the me.

Fast Car
Tracy Chapman
"Fast car" is kind of a continuation of Bruce Springsteen's "Born to Run." It has all the clawing your way to a better life, but in this case the protagonist never makes it with her love; in fact she is dragged back down by him. There is still an amazing amount of hope and will in the lyrics; and the lyrics themselve rank and easy five. If only music was stronger it would be one of those great radio songs that you hear once a week 20 years after it was released. The imagery is almost tear-jerking ("City lights lay out before us", "Speeds so fast felt like I was drunk"), and the idea of starting from nothing and just driving and working and denigrating yourself for a chance at being just above poverty, then losing in the end is just painful and inspiring at the same time.

Mountain Song
Jane's Addiction
Jane's Addiction vocalist Perry Farrell gives Adam Reader some heartfelt insight into Jane’s Addiction's hard rock manifesto "Mountain Song", which was the second single from their revolutionary album Nothing's Shocking. Mountain song was first recorded in 1986 and appeared on the soundtrack to the film Dudes starring Jon Cryer. The version on Nothing's Shocking was re-recorded in 1988. "'Mountain Song' was actually about... I hate to say it but... drugs. Climbing this mountain and getting as high as you can, and then coming down that mountain," reveals Farrell. "What it feels to descend from the mountain top... not easy at all. The ascension is tough but exhilarating. Getting down is... it's a real bummer. Drugs is not for everybody obviously. For me, I wanted to experience the heights, and the lows come along with it." "There's a part - 'Cash in now honey, cash in Miss Smith.' Miss Smith is my Mother; our last name was Smith. Cashing in when she cashed in her life. So... she decided that, to her... at that time, she was desperate. Life wasn't worth it for her, that was her opinion. Some people think, never take your life, and some people find that their life isn't worth living. She was in love with my Dad, and my Dad was not faithful to her, and it broke her heart. She was very desperate and she did something that I know she regrets."

Plastic Bag
Ed Sheeran
“Plastic Bag” is a song about searching for an escape from personal problems and hoping to find it in the lively atmosphere of a Saturday night party. Ed Sheeran tells the story of his friend and the myriad of troubles he is going through. Unable to find any solutions, this friend seeks a last resort in a party and the vanity that comes with it. “I overthink and have trouble sleepin’ / All purpose gone and don’t have a reason / And there’s no doctor to stop this bleedin’ / So I left home and jumped in the deep end,” Ed Sheeran sings in verse one. He continues by adding that this person is feeling the weight of having disappointed his father and doesn’t have any friends to rely on in this difficult moment. In the second verse, Ed sings about the role of grief in his friend’s plight and his dwindling faith in prayer. “Saturday night is givin’ me a reason to rely on the strobe lights / The lifeline of a promise in a shot glass, and I’ll take that / If you’re givin’ out love from a plastic bag,” Ed sings on the chorus, as his friend turns to new vices in hopes of feeling better.
