Q&A
Summer-Blink Lyrics
Ooh, you have
Ooh, you have
Ooh, you have
Ooh, you have
How do I feel
About myself?
I try
I am resourceful
I contribute
I belong when I contribute
I don't have to
Be perfect
I'm accepting myself as I really am
I'm feeling love for my successes
Thank you for showing me respect
I think, "Yes, I'm doing a fine job"
The foundation of my self-respect
I think, "Yes, I'm doing a fine job"
I'm accepting myself as I really am
I'm feeling love for my successes
Thank you for showing me respect
I think, "Yes, I'm doing a fine job"
The foundation of my self-respect
Thank you for your encouragement
I think, "Yes, I'm doing a fine job"
For my efforts and improvements

i cant believe there arent any comments on this ! anyways i think it reads like a therapist's pamphlet- one of those things you put on your bathroom mirror and read it out loud to yourself for like a daily affirmation kind of thing
I completely agree salyu. Every time I listen to this song while I'm at work it helps remind me that I'm not perfect and I'm doing the best I can every day. The chorus is fantastic in this song aghhhhh! :)
i too agree with salyu (who happens to have a great username)
this is easily one of my favorite b-sides--the lyrics are so positive and optimistic, in spite of the nervous breakdown elizabeth suffered during the recording of four calendar café (culminating in robin and elizabeth's eventual breakup). lucy would have been around three years old by this time, and i don't think it'd be much of a stretch to say that motherhood came to be elizabeth's source of contentment.
