The Running Free Lyrics
All non-believers stand aside in fear.
A new day's marching through the door.
How could you ever think you'd make it here?
Did it bleed? Was it sore?
Through the struggles you've endured,
You've come so far from innocence
Provided all the consequence,
Only what does it matter now?
'Cause you're going home,
You're running free,
As only you would be if you never owed them anything.
And now you've found your way out
In the trust you've seen your path on home.
Spend your time well before you go,
Here in hell.
Your living ends before the engineer.
What was your motive in this fight?
(Did they play you for the weaker of them?)
How could you ever think you'd make it here?
Was it greed that pushed your heart through the struggles you've endured?
You've come so far from innocence,
Provided all the consequence,
Only what does it matter now?
'Cause you're going home,
You're running free,
As only you would be if you never owed them anything.
And now you've found your way out.
In the trust you've seen your path on home.
Spend your time well before you go,
Here in hell.
There's a hell in all of us
Spend your time well before you go.
There's a hell in all of us.
You lost, it's all your own
There's a hell in all of us
There are no secrets you can hide, from yourself, in your mind.
There's a hell in all of us
Leave the worst of all behind!
'Cause you're going home,
You're running free,
As only you would be if you never owed them anything.
And now you've found your way out,
In the trust you've seen your path on home.
'Cause you're going home,
You're running free,
As only you would be if you never owed them anything.
And now you've found your way out
In the trust you've seen your path on home.
Spend your time well before you go,
Here in hell.
A new day's marching through the door.

Here in hell.

Sounds like Claudio's first encounter with Ryan.
Maybe they fight a little, maybe they don't, but at the very least Ryan tries to get Claudio to commit suicide.
I'm thinking Claudio and Ryan fight, and Claudio looses, but doesn't die. Possibly Ryan thinks Claudio dies.
in interviews on the dvd included with the new album, claudio said that alot of the songs had a much more personal influence but still fit the story...my belief that the person leaving is ex-drummer Josh Eppard...and "how could you ever thing you'd might get here" is an obvious reference to his heroin and other opiate addictions...just my opinion though....
2 years ago i moved waaaaay away from home to experience something new and stuff....went thru a butt-load of crap with the culture shocks and all the random problems that come with being out on your own for the first time...once i mastered the whole being away thing, every trip i made to visit my folks "back home", this has been my theme song, and now that i'm considereding moving back, this song doesn't cease to remain in my life's soundtrack...its like C&C are telling me "you've endured a lot of struggles, you've seen where to put and where not to put your trust, you've gone thru this this and that, but nothing matters now, cause your going home!!!" ...as time passes, the more determined i am to go back home and do things with my life i never did before, and this is where they're telling me: "spend your time well here in hell before you go and leave the worse of all behind!!!" goodbye Kansas!!!!
this comment makes me smile so hard!!!!!!! XD

Wow, thats a really great job! I could work anything out but bits of the chorus until I read this ^_^' Stellar! Having said that, here's what I think lol:
All none-believers, stand aside in fear A new day's marching through the doors Out of the web of fate, you'd break in here Was it me, that which the horror Through the sorrows, you've ignored
You've come so far from innocence Reminded of the consequence Only what does it matter now?
'Cause you're going home You're running free As only you will be But you never told us anything And now, you’ve found a way out And it was hard to see (No Idea, it doesn’t sound like “Your bad dog hold” but that WOULD be a reference to Apollo after all)
Wuh-Oh-A-Oh-Wuh-Oh-A-Oh You’ll die well before you go (your dog?) Wuh-Oh-A-Oh-Wuh-Oh-A-Oh
Then its all kinda out of it. Crap recordings. Songs kinda poppy :\ but I like it nonetheless shrug kinda hoping for an album kinda more like SSTB but well, thats hardly progressive ;)
Sorry for double posting :\
All none-believers, stand aside in fear A new day's marching through the doors How could you ever think you'd break in here? Was it me, that which you hold Through the struggles you’ve endured
You've come so far from innocence Reminded o’ the consequence Only what does it matter now?

Wuh-Oh-A-Oh-Wuh-Oh-A-Oh You’ll die well before you go (your dog?) Wuh-Oh-A-Oh-Wuh-Oh-A-Oh In the bleeding end
Broken life before an ancient mirror What was your motive in this fight? How could you ever think you’d break in here? Was it me, that which you hold Through the struggles you’ve endured?
You've come so far from innocence Reminded of the consequences Only what does it matter now?

Tales are telling (???) Tales are telling (???) Tales are telling (???) Tales are telling (???)
‘Cause you’re going home…
You’re running free

it sounds like someone is dying. the song has kinda has a glorious, heroic sound to it. perhaps claudio the character has met his end or maybe this is a song in which he battles deftinwolf himself. ('Cause you're going home You're running free As only you will be But you never told us anything And now, you’ve found you’re way out And it was hard to see) ...it's like a someone is hurting him and his way out is by dying. can't wait until october.
It sounds more like "Stand and fight in fear" and "How could you ever think you'd make it here?" and "fears are held in"
At the first performance of this [in pomona at warped tour] i was there, and was too excited to hear the new song that i didn't even think about figuring out lyrics. =] oops! haha
"I don't need you with me" sounds more like "As only you would be."
hate to be a prude but you both are off on some stuff:
All non-believers, stand aside in fear A new day's marching through the door Why did you ever think you'd break in here Was it me, that which the horror Through the sorrows, you've ignored
You've come so far from innocence Reminded of the consequence From here, does it matter?
'Cause you're going home You're running free as only you would be But you never told us anything And I have found a way out And it was hard to see Your bad dog hold
Wuh-Oh-A-Oh-Wuh-Oh-A-Oh And you'll die well before you go Wuh-Oh-A-Oh-Wuh-Oh-A-Oh here in Hell
Broken life before an ancient mirror What was the motive in this fight? Out of the web of fate, you'd break it here Was it me, that which the horror Through the sorrows, you've ignored
You've come so far from innocence Reminded of the consequences Does it matter?
'Cause you're going home Running free I don't need you with me But you never hold on to anything And I have found a way out And it was hard to see Your bad dog hold
Wuh-Oh-A-Oh-Wuh-Oh-A-Oh And you'll die well before you claim Wuh-Oh-A-Oh-Wuh-Oh-A-Oh He'd feel it
Health clean, whole and heart Theirs are telling, whole Tales are telling, old and honest Tears are held in, home Broken heart
I don't need you with me But you never hold on 'Cause I've found a way out And it was hard to see Your bad dog hold
You're going home You're running free I don't need you with me 'Cause you never hold on to anything And I've found a way out And it was hard to see Your bad dog hold me
Wuh-Oh-A-Oh-Wuh-Oh-A-Oh And you'll die well before you claim Wuh-Oh-A-Oh-Wuh-Oh-A-Oh He'd feel it
the bastard submitted it before i finshed the corrections but you get the idea
