i think the song means that someone is living in a nightmare because of a relationship separation seems so wrong so im stuck with these nighmares when youre gone and far away
he doesnt want to believe that the relationship has ended. he uses the metaphor of her being home. so he can't sleep because he doesnt have a home.

I think its that the life he is living because of this relationship buisness is causing him a nightmare...its like hes in a bad dream...and he wants to wake up and it all to be right again

so im thinkin that they decided to take a break and she's somewhere far away. but he relizes that her not being there is driving him crazy. he can't even get any sleep cuz she's always in the back of his mind and she's gone even in his dreams.. or nightmares.

This song makes me kind of sad. because "I'm still here and you're still gone" reminds me of my friend who moved 2000 miles away.
My friend died and I found this song. It totally described how I felt, that's what it means to me.

I cried the first time i listened to this song.. its amazing I honestly think its about them being on the road and how he misses her so much that he every night he dreams about how they're not together and the distance is is messing with him. It's possible that's also making him physically ill to think of not being with her. I mean, its happened to me before being physically sick because i'm upset by something.
This song will forever be in my heart ^_^
