In an interview she said this song is about how people feel they need to fit in a certain group or be in a scene, and they should try to be themselves so they wouldn't miss the opportunity to meet other amazing people that they might never meet.
Indeed, she has a unique and there some really good songs on her album.
This brilliant track makes me think of Greg Norman & Chris Evert i.e. two people a little past their prime & worn round the edges who get together later in life. the lyrics show a longing they convey that they had got together sooner - when they were younger and had less baggage - but I think the song still conveys the hope that you can find a certain magic with someone in later life.

makes me think that they still have a fair bit of heartache & general angst to get through before they can find each other & have a last shot at happiness. Amy Mac is descibing their current situation as being a bit on the low but giving glimpses of a brighter future when they do get together.

This song also reminds me of my recent trip to Scotland (even though it was her most recent one; L.A., which was played a few times on the car radio while over there). Thinkpeace, she does have a very unique voice yes, and to me hearing a nice Scottish voice is much more appealing than hearing the rather irritating and over-accentuated accents from artists such as Kate Nash and The Arctic Monkeys.
Ho trovato la canzone bellissima prima ancora di scoprire il testo in italiano. Dopo aver letto il testo in italiano ho avuto la conferma di quanto sia bella.. Due persone che si incontrano quando sembra che sia ormai troppo tardi e che non hanno mai concesso niente alla banalità. Mr rock è così originale anche dopo aver fatto di tutto per cercare di uniformarsi un po Da sentirsi solo ma anche libero. Adesso forse incontra la persona giusta che magari è già stata sposata e forse assieme a lei avranno ancora un opportunità
