Hope for the Hopeless Lyrics
stitch in your knitted brow
and you don't know how
you're gonna get it out
crushed under heavy chest
trying to catch your breath
but it always beats you by a step,
all right now
making the best of it
playing the cards you get
you're not alone in this
there's hope for the hopeless
there's hope for the hopeless
there's hope
cold in a summer breeze
yeah, you're shivering
on your bended knee
still, though your heart is sore
and the heavens pour
like a willow bending with the storm,
you'll make it
running against the wind
playing the cards you get
something is bound to give
there's hope for the hopeless
there's hope for the hopeless
there's hope
and you don't know how
you're gonna get it out
crushed under heavy chest
trying to catch your breath
but it always beats you by a step,
all right now
playing the cards you get
you're not alone in this
there's hope for the hopeless
there's hope
yeah, you're shivering
on your bended knee
still, though your heart is sore
and the heavens pour
like a willow bending with the storm,
you'll make it
playing the cards you get
something is bound to give
there's hope for the hopeless
there's hope

She is so positive! How refreshing, these days. This song says - "yes, you are suffering - we all do and will. Even so, you pick up and keep moving and you get through it in the end." Well said!
this is a really good song to get you through hard times. it's kind of a roll down your windows and forget about everything else song. i love it. =]
Wow. She's a genius... this song makes me feel so much better.
I think this is her most uplifting song. Though I like to listen to Rangers more than this song for the musical component itself, the lyrics to this one are indescribably uplifting. This song stopped me from suicide, and ever since has been what I turn to in tough times. I was dealt a crappy hand (diagnosed with type one diabetes at seven years old, diagnosed with bipolar a few months later, diagnosed with aspergers at fourteen. eight surgeries to date with the first at five years old and the latest at fifteen) When I discovered this song, I started to feel peace for the first time that I can remember. I was just coming down from mania at the time, and that is the toughest (in my opinion) part of bipolar. It literally stopped the depression half of the spectrum from getting really bad, and I've been stable ever since. I truly believe that God was sending me a message through my pandora station.
Positivity.
