Supertheory of Supereverything Lyrics

First time I had read the Bible
It had stroke me as unwitty
I think it may started rumor
That the Lord ain't got no humor

Put me inside SSC
Let's test superstring theory
Oh yoi yoi, accelerate the protons
Stir it twice and then just add me, because

I don't read the Bible
I don't trust disciple
Even if they're made of marble
Or Canal Street bling

From the maelstrom of the knowledge
Into the labyrinth of doubt
Frozen underground ocean
Melting, nuking on my mind

Give me Everything Theory
Without Nazi uniformity
My brothers are protons
My sisters are neutrons
I stir it twice, it's instant family!

I don't read the Bible
I don't trust disciple
Even if they're made of marble
Or Canal Street bling

My brothers are protons
My sisters are neutrons
I stir it twice, dlja prekrastnih dam

Do you have sex maniacs
Or schizophreniacs
Or the astrophysicists in your family?
Was your grandma anti anti?
Was my grandpa bounty bounty?
They ask in embassy!

I don't read the Bible
I don't trust disciple
Even if they're made of marble
Or Canal Street bling

And my grandma she was anti!
And my grandpa he was bounty!
I stir it twice
Or Canal Street bling
Party, party, party, party, party, party
Now afterparty!

This song is against all forms of ideology, which specifically includes religion but also politics. He is saying that there is something wrong with breaking up the world into rigid categories that separate people, as ideologies tend to do. Here we have a celebration of everything that defies or resists categorization. The line, "party, party, party, party, party, party, now afterparty!" is mocking the idea that political parties represent anything meaningful or close to the truth. As in the beginning--

First time I had read the Bible It had stroke me as unwitty I think it may started rumor That the Lord ain't got no humor

To him, religion is humorless, narrow, and like the blind followers of the party line, leads to a "Nazi uniformity" that is actually dangerous and potentially harmful.

Do you have sex maniacs Or schizophreniacs Or the astrophysicists in your family? Was your grandma anti anti? Was my grandpa bounty bounty? They ask in embassy!

This is the type of ludicrous questioning he or perhaps his ancestors may have been subjected to back in Russia, but also it could apply to the suspicion and coldness an immigrant feels directed towards him in a new country. The song mentions an embassy, but it could be anywhere.

String theory is "super" because in his mind, it's anti-ideology: unpredictable, free, spontaneous, rule-bending, and revolutionary. Some people want to live inside an ideology, so he imagines living inside string theory ("Put me inside SSC..."), where all the exclusions and controls of daily life can disappear. But I think we can all relate to this desire for a split-free existence, where the part is not separate from the whole, and where the rules work differently or not as we assumed.

Choas theory supersedes string theory but both are far superior to the ridiculous science in the bible. Science has all but been wiped out by discredit over and over again by different religious/political quests- in the form here as an "embassy" that tries to deny you access, therefore, gaining power. Like the scientific method that has to discount every option before reaching a conclusion. Facts take years of concentrated effort to prove or you can just lie, like spies do.

Party Party Party- Afterparty is my favorite part because it unites these two themes of politics and...

This is not just a party party song. Party party party guys don't read the Bible TWICE. Some fans are just clueless to the depth of this great band.

First time I had read the Bible It had stroke me as unwitty I think it may started rumor That the Lord ain't got no humor

He is talking about how at first glance the Bible seems harsh. Consider Supert Taranta were he is saying it was not so bad. In other words, once you understand the metaphors it is much more interesting and even at times humorous.

Once you understand the metaphor it becomes clear how faith was used to manipulate followers. Moses wonders in a desert for 40 years and his people are starving and dying. It's a curse!

Before that, Moses is told by a burning bush to lead the Israelites.

You don't get what that means? You ain't got no humor.

Put me inside SSC Let's test superstring theory Oh yoi yoi, accelerate the protons Stir it twice and then just add me, because

I am not sure the lyric "SSC' is correct. But anyway, as mentioned he is discussing his desire to break down the walls.

I don't read the Bible I don't trust disciple Even if they're made of marble Or Canal Street bling

He does not trust the leaders or there sacred texts (books of philosophy or law). Whether they are made of marble (ancients) oir canal street bling (moderns). The last two lines can also represent careful attention or cheapness. This is also a reference to false idols.

From the maelstrom of the knowledge Into the labyrinth of doubt Frozen underground ocean Melting, nuking on my mind

Here he is talking about how consuming large amounts of information can make you a little delirious and create doubt.

Give me Everything Theory Without Nazi uniformity My brothers are protons My sisters are neutrons I stir it twice, it's instant family!

However, he is curious and wants to know everything. But many reigions/theorists/philosphers demand conformity.

Male and female forces are at the center of life. Sex is the stir.

Do you have sex maniacs Or schizophreniacs Or the astrophysicists in your family?

In other words, these labels are silly. The traits they define are on a spectrum. They are not binary. The definitions used are overly vague like astrology readings. The divisions are silly and subejctive.

Was your grandma anti anti? Was my grandpa bounty bounty? They ask in embassy!

Was your grandma an anti communist. Was your grandpa an enemy of the state. Again, stupid labels.

And my grandma she was anti! And my grandpa he was bounty! I stir it twice Or Canal Street bling Party, party, party, party, party, party Now afterparty!

Of coures, they were. Now forget all that.... Let's have some sex, gold and party, party party!!! Now afterparty!!!

Sorry for the typos.

One more point...

They ask in embassy

This is what you are asked when seeking asylum.

SSC is a superconducting super collider, he says it because he is using a sting theory metaphor, that involves braking the laws of what was once defined as impossible.

I dont disagree with your analysis of the song, in fact it has made me realize a lot about the song but when he says

Give me Everything Theory Without Nazi uniformity My brothers are protons My sisters are neutrons I stir it twice, it's instant family!

I dont think he means what you said but instead he thinks their should be a religion or theory that excludes absolutely no one and does not dispute other religions instead welcomes them. (Everything Theory) most religions have some form of keeping their followers uniformed and equal, this is an exaggeratedly compared to...

"No, I'm pretty sure it's supposed to be SSC. It was a planned particle accelerator to be built in Texas. The SSC stands for Superconducting Super Collider."

Which is why Eugene is also singing about protons and neurons.

The SSC was also created in an attempt at "seeing" the Higgs Boson, the particle which is suppose to explain why matter has mass at all. The Higgs Boson is also known as the God Particle. Which is what this song is all about.

I can't beleive no one else has commented on how incredible the lyrics are to this song.

baha, i love listening to this album and going through favourite songs ... this is the new one. agreed, funnypunkkid, the lyrics are genius! i was disappointed, though, to see that it's "was your grandpa bounty, bounty" instead of "panty, panty" like i thought i heard. BOOM!

also, i think instead of "SSC" it is "SSE" as in "Supertheory of SuperEverything" ... just sounds like the former

It's actually SSC which stands for Superconducting Super Collider hence the lyrics go "Accelerate the protons, stir it twiiice..." and "let's test super string theory"

"also, i think instead of "SSC" it is "SSE" as in "Supertheory of SuperEverything""

No, I'm pretty sure it's supposed to be SSC. It was a planned particle accelerator to be built in Texas. The SSC stands for Superconducting Super Collider.

This more just about the general BAND, but it's good to see punk isn't dead. Of course, this is a lot different than the Dead Kennedys, but it's amazing. And to think, there are shitty capitalistic clone bands that think they're punk!

But this is a good example. Very anti-religion.

To me it's not only about the absence of a omnipotent god and partying all the time. Eugene also mentions the way religion effects the progress of science. Especially in biology, the theory of evolution is constantly criticized (yes still) especially around here. Just look at Ben Steins new film. I think its titled "Expelled".
