matthew comes up with that :) ugh this was a song I kept on repeat for so long., it became so etched into my brain I knew all the guitar riffs that you couldn't really hear and all the drum parts and ugh so yay :)

also I think this song may be about two people that did somthing in the past that one of them isn't letting get to them anymore "every second spent was worth it, we have the scars to show that"

but the other person is letting it still get to them in some way "maybe one day you'll be happy, we can remove those scars" I think mostly it points to being about somthing they did to be together in a relationship "and fill eachothers hearts with bliss" but this other personhas let whatever they did (maybe its about fighting and so much shit that happend when they were together) get to them "or you'll die alone with a gun in hand" and the guy just wants to be together and to help her through this "let me know when your awake so I can lift your damaged grace"

I love it when I can reference quotes and lines from songs . . I like your interpretation the used rok, straight to the point and simple. I'l give a go at picking it's brains out though . .boredom does wonders for entertainment and brain cells.

"You've never looked so picture perfect, but I'm an open book now" Here I think he's saying she's maintaining a false manufactured mask to cover the deceit, problems, flaws or secrets in her life, while he on the other hand is willing to come out of the darkness and just share his all for her to read him just like an open book.

"Every white page will be turned to grey" This line makes me think of the metaphor he's using to relate himself as a book when exposing himself to her all his secrets and vulnerabilities. If you think about it, if you've had this book you've never read and is still in mint condition and after you read it, the pages tend to look washed over because it's been used and read so many times . .when relating this to his situation, his thoughts, feelings or stuff he kept hidden symbolises the "white pages" that have been left "untainted" by other peoples judgements and perspective . .the colour white symbolising purity and rightieousness . .but now that everything is exposed to this person like an open book, his thoughts, feelings and secrets will turn to a shade of grey, because he's had this person add a second opinion/persepctive of his "white pages" adding a different shade to his thoughts, feelings and secrets in the process.

"And every second spent was worth it" In the end He's glad he's let out all his stuff to this person and feels not a single moment of time was wasted doing so.

"We have the scars to show that What a way to end a perfect day" By the end of this tell all experience and insightful conversation, they came out of the day with "scars". I associated scars with both their perspectives being changed as the experience itself has left a mark on their thoughts, feelings etc. They've come out of this with more insight and wisdom.

"You never seem to change [x3]" Here he probably feels that the person still remains as a "closed book" . ."picture perfect", and each and everytime he shares his all out into the open for her to pass judegment on, she doesn't share any of her thoughts, secrets or feelings with him like an open book to read . . .it's like he's always giving and she's on the receiving side of the relationship.

& Like the used rok said, The girl probably has some problems or baggage from the past weighing her down which has led to her being in a melancholic state. He's hoping for her to open up to him so that they can figuratively speaking heal/remove the scars of her past as well as the ones he's given to her in their relaitonship.

(I can't come down, too far gone to be found)" He's worried that if he can't heal her wounds and remove her scars, she'll take a turn for the worse and figuratively fall into severe depression/destroy her life/end their relationship or literally take her own life.

"You've never looked so picture perfect, but I'm an open book now" He's complimenting how much she's seem to be coping and changing by healing her wounds and in the process her "scars" are fading, making her look even more "picture perfect" . .beauty in the sense of inner harmony, peace and joy, with her problems (Scars) gradually fading over time. A long healing process imo.

" Right now, he believes she's not in touch with reality at the moment as she's still dealing with her problems, but he's letting her know that whenever she's ready to let go, he'll be there to help her see through it and get freedom from her problems once and for all, without it wieghing her present life down.
