What Do We Know? Lyrics

Pick up the phone
Nobodys home, I'm all alone
We've all been here before
Yesterday I saw a change
Another way, as you walked out the door
WIth a twist, a little bit, I'll admit
But we're stronger than before
Open up, we've had enough, we've had enough
But now we're holding on and waiting

What do we know
What do we know
What do we know
What do we know
What do we know
What do we know
I'll tell you what theyre all saying
[x2]

We all try to be somebody
But the world around us makes it so cloudy
When we don't trust where we're supposed to
But the blood on the hands says we're not close to
The answer, yeah
But maybe if we pull together we can change
A million lives for the better
And maybe if we prayed a little more
We will stop living in fear from the storm
And everyone sings..

What do we know
What do we know
What do we know
What do we know
What do we know
What do we know
I'll tell you what theyre all saying
[x2]

I'll tell you what theyre all saying
Every part is you
Every part is me
Raise your hands and sing
Tell them we can be
Show them who you are
Show them you can see
Raise your hands and sing
Tell them we are free

What do we know
What do we know
What do we know
What do we know
What do we know
What do we know
I'll tell you what theyre all saying
[x3]

Every part is you
Every part is me
Raise your hands and sing
Tell them we can be
Show them who you are
Show them you can see
Raise your hands and sing
Tell them we are free

What do we know
What do we know
What do we know
What do we know
What do we know
What do we know
I'll tell you what theyre all saying

Taken from JesusFreakHideout.com

Trevor explains, “The song starts out waking up the morning of 9/11, and it refers to events like Hurricane Katrina, the Virginia Tech tragedy, Tsunami and the major catastrophes that have happened in the last few years that have made us all—no matter what you believe—stand back and say, Wow, we’re not in control here.”

maybe talking about a little bit of missionary work too, since we are not in control do gods will work together to change a million lives and pray a little more i also see some worship parts in the song

Sounds very Our Lady Peace-ish to me. I think this song will be one of their bigger songs. I think what they are trying to say is, as one person we can make a small difference but if we are all together and united we can help eachother and make huge changes in peoples lives. Something along those lines. Falls Apart is better lol.

i agree with SmackedByGodsmack about the our-lady-peace thing. i had to double check on the artist after hearing the first verse. but i still think its a good song. when i hear this song i think about everyone underestimating each other all the time about what each of us can and cant achieve but what do i know? thats just the way it comes out to me

This song is awesome but pisses me off at the same time cuz it sounds just like our lady peace and i thought maybe they were getting back together but i guess not, that sux!

I think this song is about the government making a lot of decisions that aren't necessarily good for us the people. And so what do we know is like saying that so many things could be hidden by the government that we dont know about
