Gravedancer Lyrics
She's all that I see
And all that I breathe
Take a breath and hold her in
As her shadow's whispering
I can hear the laughter
Knowing what they're after
While she flies right beside me
On many broken wings
Take, take a look around
She's a pretty good dancer
She dances on my grave
Every time it goes down
Every time she comes down
Every time we fall down
She dances all over me
She's the world at my feet
The sun that gives heat
Take a rest and hold her near
Or she'll float away from here
Cause I'm knowing what your fearing
And a unsentimental jury
And every mile that guides you
I'll watch over everything
Take, take a look around
She's a pretty good dancer
She dances on my grave
Every time it goes down
Every time she comes down
Everytime we fall down
She dances all over me
And every time that we feel it
It's just another long wasted night
And the dance that we do is
Just another way for you to roll over me
And the bed that we're sharing
Is the home that I wanna bring you
Want to feel you
I don't want to hear you
Take, take a look around
She's a pretty good dancer
She dances on my grave
Every time it goes down
Every time she comes down
Every time we fall down
She dances all over me
She dances all over me
She dances all over me
She's a pretty good dancer
Take, take, take a look around
She's a pretty good dancer
Every time she comes down
And all that I breathe
Take a breath and hold her in

does anyone now what this song means? i love it but i dont understand what its about.
Considering the bands past drug problems it would seem this song simply refers to a couples unfortnate experiences with the drug culture. With the women being perhaps the greater abuser and bringing more stress to her man when there using. Perhaps thats just his percepting to.
I'm not sure what this song is about really, but it's a beatiful song. I love at the end, when Slash is soloing as it fades, and Scott's all "She's a pretty good dancer" - his voice sounds cool at that part.
What a fantastic song to end the album with. Just as good a closer as 'Atlanta' was.
I think this song is about Scott's wife Mary. I think it is about loving his wife very much but trying to give her some space to see how she will do on her own. when it says "She's all that I see, and all that I breathe", its about Mary. Mary means everything to him. then it says "Take, take a look around, Sh'es a pretty good dancer", this is about Scott noticing hw Mary can do fine on her own and Scott is just njow relizing this. I'm sure exactly if this is what it's about but i think it's an idea of what it's about.
I believe this song is about his feeling about his drug. 'She' is the drug. 'Everytime we fall down, she dances all over me' is a statement referring to everytime something happens, 'she' is the drug that dances all over him. 'she' is a good dancer and she will probably be the death of him hence 'she dances on my grave'. It's basically the 'feeling' he experiences while he's high, like she's his companion and her doesn't want her to float away, or be far from 'her'
This Song I Beleive Is About Having His Last Dance With His Wife
To me this song is Scott describing smoking opium. She is the smoke he's inhaling then exhaling and watching dancing in the air as he's flying. Everything he describes fits that experience form what I've read. lol
