The Monkey Man Lyrics
I see him when I'm dreaming
His teeth are white and bare
He's riding on a stallion
The wind is in his hair
If he were made of china
He's have a special stand
Beside my china ponies
I love the monkey man
I wake up every morning
And smell his golden hair
He stands outside my window
And watches me with care
He smiles at all my ponies
And dances when he can
I'll look for him tomorrow
I love the monkey man

this sounds like a story of a young girl(Children tend to think that Monkeys are cute,so it a way of saying he is as cute as a monkey) Fantasizing about older men. "I'll look for him tomorrow" could mean that even though she is trying to find the "cute" perfect man her expectations are high though she wont stop looking
Very chilling song. Interestingly, the liner notes for this song are written from the perspective of the old women who does the vocals on the song, where as the the rest of the songs are written from the perspective of an animal. I guess this implies that the monkey man is a figment of the woman's imagination. Beautifully abstract.
