this album is just an experimental stray in my opinion. i think shane (lead vocalist) who writes most of their lyrics has based his lyrics upon his recent break up. he was with the girl for 7 years can you blame him for making an album with less hard stuff. still i do like this album. i figure it will help some people calm down who have had recent relationship problems. i hope they do get back a little closer to their original roots though.

Seriouslyy! Like dont get me wrong this song and all the other songs on the new cd are amazing but im not into them as much as i was with the older albums
a lot of the songs on arrivals and departures are a bit too love-song-esque for my taste. =/.
I read the Other day in AP that around the time that Silverstein was writing this album they were on their first real break after touring for 4 years. Two of the band members had relatives die before their break. And also Shane and his girlfriend of 7 years broke up right before/during the process of writing this album and on their break. Shane said a lot of the songs are based on what he was feeling with his girlfriend breaking up with him, and the feelings he had for her while they were together. I think this is where a lot of the songs are coming from, and I feel bad for Shane. But the new album is amazing :)
