Vital Signs Lyrics

This building is barely standing on its own foundation.
I’ve collapsed its lungs, calloused its heart and sucked the life out of this for all of Sunday to see.
I’ve taken the breath out of everything they believe, everything they hold true. Preaching to the deaf and blind, no one sees my effort.
No one gets the point. Welcome to my dying home.
Welcome inside these crumbling walls.
A meaningless handshake greets them all with smiles of false hope.
Do I even care as I watch a sea of people dwindling into an audience of skin and bones- an audience who doesn’t have the strength to walk out on a man who has tarnished their faith?

It's obviously about a corrupt pastor.

"Do I even care, as I watch a sea of people dwindling into an audience of skin and bones- An audience who doesn't have the strength to walk out on a man who has tarnished their faith?"

^It's definitely straight forward.^

I think he's talking about how people's faith or church may be collapsing because people come to church and just go to sleep, never pay attention or listen to lies. I may be wrong, but anyways good song, love the bells tolling 2 minutes into the song.

I'm pretty sure 'Sunday' is refering to the church. That what this song is to...or about.

In my opinion, it's about how most churches are corrupted now a-days. How most people go to church to socialize and don't really care about what the message is about

Yes I agree with everyone here. Its about the "Religious" Churches who condemn people. Also Churches who just want peoples money. Also Churches who just do their own things, and do go out to save the lost.

These people think they are better than everyone else, however they themselves are actually worst off than a sinner who doesn't yet know God.

The perfect set of people to compare these "religious" people with is the High Priests that Jesus Pissed off every day he lived.

When Jesus healed the sick on sabbath the "Religious" people condemned him. Jesus saved the adulterer from the "Religious" people about to stone her. The only time it is recorded of Jesus Himself being mad is when he saw the crowd "Selling" goods in the temple, he threw tables everywhere and made a whip and lashed it out at them.

"Religious" People are not of God, and as far as Corrupt Pastors and Leaders. It says in Galatians 1:8 and 1:9 about what happens to them.

It also says in revelation that God has a "Special" place in Hell for these leaders. They will recieve the worst of the worst Hell has to offer.
