i think this could be about God. people will always let you down but God will never give up on you. also: once you know God, you know who you are. you are branded by God and you know the meaning of life. i can also see the serious relationship interpretation. :)

"you make it easier to be me" explains it. it's like when you have somebody in your life that means more than words can tell, whether it be a serious relationship, a friendship, or even a mentor ... and when you feel like the world gave up on you, they are the ones telling you to keep going. Despite all hardships you may encounter, they will always have your back and genuinely believe in you.

Personally, I don't think this song is written about God. I think it is written for his wife Braedan. That make sense.
