This is such an amazing and sad song.

Someone who's in love with another but things hadn't gone their way and they've had to part, against the wishes of the singer.

Hiding, closed curtains, dim my lights, are all things that the heartbroken do. I suppose the home that's being wished for, is the other person. Home is where the heart is?

i just think you miss the comfort when something ends.

you just want it to pass quietly and feel at home somewhere.

i personally hate the chorus to this song.

its soooo dry.

i can't feel anything from it. its just repetitive and doesn't even make sense. and no emotion in the way its sung.

This song is really my tragic song. It reminds me of me. And my EX best friend. He was everything to me. He would finish my sentences. He would know my every expression to every emotion I felt. He was almost like a soulmate. But I ended the friendship last year. Even though he was amazing. There was alot of crap he did to me. To the point where I couldnt handle seeing his face or hearing his voice. So i had to end it. but till this day, I feel like im still hiding from his ghost. So I literally close my room curtains and dim my lights at night.

I just want to move on already, and get better.

@poncho I agree: the chorus lyrics don't really make...you know, sense. Just a bunch of fragments...can anybody convincingly put it together? I do, however, love when the rounds start.

Convincingly put it together? Easily. It's about their decision to end their relationship. To me this whole song is about a breakup, and how she doesn't really want it to end, but does it anyway. "The last time that I saw you, this is the end" meaning the last time they saw each other was when they broke it off, when they ended their relationship, when they severed all ties. She misses him, she still thinks about him, and has not been able to get over it.
