You could say it's a lie - say it's not so
If everything is different now - don't let me know
Say what you want - remember to breathe
As everyone starts changing - don't look at me
I want to feel, this love is for real
Pretending can't be easier
Take what you want - i'll cut the strings
A light inside is fading - taken from me
I know who you are - the Maestro of blame
If everything starts changing - THEN JUST GO AWAY!
Falling in - Falling out
It's hard to be indifferent and just look the other way
If everything is different now - don't let me know
Say what you want - remember to breathe
As everyone starts changing - don't look at me
Pretending can't be easier
A light inside is fading - taken from me
I know who you are - the Maestro of blame
If everything starts changing - THEN JUST GO AWAY!
It's hard to be indifferent and just look the other way

It's a great song. I believe it's about how overcomplicated dating can become when people wanna play games with one another instead of just being real with one another. Essentially by throwing blame around they eventually find their narcissism and egos interfere with any chance of a real love connection becoming established.
"forever", "maestro" and "spiral" are my favourite songs off the album so far, even if i haven't heard any of them in their entirety -- "maestro" is on my mySpace page at the moment. ha.
but, anyway, this song is about a deteriorating relationship, from what i can discern: "you could say it's a lie, say it's not so; if everything is different now, don't let me know."
what's funny is, once, i tried to figure out how the second verse was sung, like, how it ended, with "just go away!" and i heard a live bootleg of it ... and i was frigging right! :D
