This song is simply amazing. The keyboard intro takes u to a place of hope, which is crushed by the ear piercing screamo to come! It really hits the spot and helps get some shit off ur chest u know?

I find it got stuck in my head after an argument with my mom, or a bad test grade, or even when I'm in a good mood after getting my girlfriend, getting large tip after work or even to go to sleep to. anybody know any other bands that have the same kind of screaming that craig can do?!?!? I MISS HIM!!! dont know y BTF wouldnt let him back in.....he really made this band who they are...if you listen to the new stuff with beau they toned it WAYYYY down and now craig is in escape the fate and they dont even utilize his full singing/screaming potential....it sucks......craig had a few songs in his side project The World Alive but i dont think he is in that anymore either... :(

this song might be about cutting, im not completely sure, just kinda getting it from the lines: "This blade it feels so cold" and: "This knife has pierced my soul, I sit alone while, I'm shaking" when ur cutting you start shaking form the initial shock of the pain... just a guess...

Unpopular opinion: I think that this song is about someone loving someone but they're not together anymore like when he says "gouge our your eyes" it means he doesn't want her to see the pain he's in because of her and "pull your heart to the floor" so that she could'nt love anyone except him again or that he didn't want her to feel sorrow for him.
"this blade it feels so cold, baby hold me while i'm shaking" means that he obviously cut himself due to depression about her and "hold me while i'm shaking" because after you cut yourself you feel a shock which actually might shake you.
"i'll stand back as you bleed" is him waiting for her to do the same as he did for her.
"this knife has pierced my soul" means he won't ever feel the same again "yes i'll laugh out with blind eyes" mocking her as what she's doing, she can't she the pain he's in so she feels perfectly fine. "take me out of this place" suicide.
