Concordia Lyrics

don't try
to hide your tears
it's alright
alright to cry

the lights died
inside
inside this house
all is different now

don't speak
you make no sense
in the absence
the absence of our love

oh my girl
my girl
I'm tied to you
but all is different now

I've shot you down
down to the ground
today I will bury your love
to my hunting ground

slowly
you understand
my words are
striking you down

for the last time
I am holding you
there is no easy way out
you can't drag me down

I've shot you down
down to the ground
today I will bury your love
to my hunting ground
I've shot you down
down to the ground
today I will bury your love
to my hunting ground

my little bird used to fly so high, far too high
my little bird used to fly so high, far too high

Cover art for Concordia lyrics by Iconcrash

This is a song about an ill-fated romance. The relationship has died and the couple still lives together and the male counterpart is saying all the love that was once between them is gone and yet some of it still lingers inside of him (my girl I'm tied to you but all is different now) even though a part of him is still tied to her it's not the same as it was.(I've shot you down) in this stanza he's saying he has defeated the lingering feelings that were left symbolizing it with saying I've shot you down today I will bury your love to my hunting ground
