The song is on Akhenaten, Pharaoh of the of the eighteenth dynasty. He made the cult of Aton, God of the SUn, the only and supreme cult in Egypt. Other gods cursed him, and Egypt descended into era of troubles. His son, Tutankhamun, has died at early age, hence "The gods would punish the hybris of Pharaoh".
