Judas Lyrics

The only one who took you in
The only one who held your hand
Defended you against the others
Had your back on everything
Never let you down
You turned around betrayed your only brother

Forgetting me, you took things in your hands and left me out
After we’d been through so much, how could you let me down?

I didn’t know, I didn’t know
I couldn’t see, I couldn’t see
Never thought you’d forget meCouldn’t believe, couldn’t believe
How you deceived, you deceived
I never thought you’d do that to me

I will never be like you
I’ll never do the things you do
Selfish and lonely, what’s your problem
Letting go of you and this
Is harder than I thought but I will not be poisoned by your actions

Forgetting me, you took things in your hands and left me out
After we’d been through so much, how could you let me down?

I didn’t know, I didn’t know
I couldn’t see, I couldn’t see
Never thought you’d forget me
Couldn’t believe, couldn’t believe
How you deceived, you deceived
I never thought you’d do that to me

Forgetting me, you took things in your hands and left me out
After we’d been through so much, how could you let me down?
Down, you let me down

i dont know if she means a boyfriend or just a friend but clearly someone betrayed her that was at one point very close. possibly a friend stealing a guy she loved or something

it's about judas from the bible, and i know he betrayed his brother, hence the line

"You turned around betrayed your only brother"

and i'm guessing the '' i didn't know, i couldn't see' part are just excuses that he used, or what we use. whatever

she says couldnt see, never thought youd do that to me. so its not excuses its her speaking in disbelief. the comparison to judas is a metaphor not literal.

she just uses judas as a metaphor of how she's feeling about someone who has betrayed her. i can definately relate to this song.

Yeah coz Judas betrayed Jesus and so i think the metaphor works really well. Because Jesus knew all along that Judas would betray him but i guess maybe hoping he wouldn't. -hayles-

This is one of my favourite songs from the album. I can relate to this song because rescently my friend just dropped me. I felt so angry and betrayed since I helped her. The meaning is pretty obvious, it's about a person betraying her and she just felt so angry and betrayed.

Never Again Part 2

This song could be the aftermath of what goes down during never again.

listening to it I think its about a friend who maybe sold a story or something about her.

"Forgetting me, you took things in your hands and left me out"

Sounds like money or something that the friend got paid.

Maybe I am wrong. But amazing song.

Yeah, I definitely think it's a metaphor, like some others have said, that she's using to describe someone she was close to (like a friend, maybe businesslike?) who betrayed her.

Love the song, and the guitar, but not too big about the rhyming chorus. ("I couldn't see, I couldn't see" "How you deceived, you deceived")

The metaphor is why she says "your only brother", since Kelly couldn't be anyone's brother... ;-) LOL that was unnecessary.

From Kelly herself "Judas" is a song about betrayal, a reference to the biblical character. "You think people are normal and good, then all of a sudden, you get blindsided."
