Indiana Lyrics

I can do whatever I want like you
I can do whatever I want like you
I can do whatever I want like you
Like You

She began to die
Indiana that's not right
Indiana that's not right
She began to fight
Indiana make it mine
Indiana make it mine

So pale and white
So inclined to do what 's right
Colonel sir, I feel lonely tonight
She's strong but an obedient wife

I can do whatever I want like you
I can do whatever I want like you
I can do whatever I want like you
Like You

She began to die
Indiana that's not right
Indiana that's not right
She began to fight
Indiana make it mine
Indiana make it mine

Such honest eyes
No time to run and ride
Colonel sir I feel lonely tonight
She's strong but her mind is losing light

I can do whatever I want like you
I can do whatever I want like you
I can do whatever I want like you
Like You

She began to die
Indiana that's not right
Indiana that's not right
She began to fight
Indiana make it mine
Indiana make it mine

I know, I know
She's alone
I know, I know
She's alone
Alone

She began to die
(I can do whatever I want like you)
That's not right you know
(I can do whatever I want oh no)
Indiana that's not right
(I can do whatever I want like you)
She began to fight
(I can do whatever I want like you)
Indiana make it mine
Indiana make it mine

I really love this song and I'm surprised I'm the first comment ? I have no idea what the song means, I can only have an idea but I can't really put it into words. Anyways ! I love this song. It's probably my favorite by them.

Meg wrote this song after reading a book called Indiana, by George Sand. Indiana is a very young but sickly wife of some old dude that was like a colonel or something in the army a long time ago. Then she met another guy named Raymond who was with Indana's step-sister (sorry dont remember correctly), Noun, but after seeing Indiana at a party, Raymond falls in love with her and when Noun finds out she commits suicide by drowning in a river. Indiana and Raymond have an affair and she gets stronger and better. Her Husband doesn't find out, but Indiana's cousin, Sir Ralph, knows about the affair, and although it hurts him, he doesn't tell the colonel about him. and then like some time goes by and they still have their affair and the colonel still doesn't know and then something happens in their business and they have to move and Raymond writes a letter to Indiana and as she sneaks away from the colonel and Sir Ralph to be with Raymond, meanwhile he goes to see who bought their old house and finds a woman there and then they fall in love and by the time Indiana makes the voyage to him he's already married to the lady. yeah, i can't tell you guys the ending though =]
