Wow! Can someone help with this apparently whimsically trance-inducing song. Is his cat helping him make up his mind on who the right one is? I've loved this since I was a teenager. Never figured it out. The cat or the girl is it? Still love this and the album "Idea" I wished they had continued along these lines rather than the later disco debacle (apologies and bless you if you love that stuff- ¡sobre gustos no hay disputa!). Thanks!

Well, I think it's taken me far too long to figure this one out, and I see that even all my years (obviously to stay young you've got to remain.....shall we say....naive) didn't help me. Just uncapitalize "Can" and change "and Kitty can" to "but Kitty can..." . abut perhaps I'm still wrong....I see that as a Kinks fan the Bee Gees "really got me"! That was when I got an idea.....
