The Equalizer Lyrics
So stay, what for?
Get lost, hit the floor
cause there's fire all around
It's in my hands, it's out the door
[Chorus]
Springtime, you're gonna wish that we were friends
That we talk, you never feel so sure again
So now, there'll be no lessons, no more cures
Til you get yours, baby in the end
I'll run, give way
Which face, and whose name?
You're falling, from my eyes
To the bottom, you're all the same
[Chorus x2]
Get lost, hit the floor
cause there's fire all around
It's in my hands, it's out the door
Springtime, you're gonna wish that we were friends
That we talk, you never feel so sure again
So now, there'll be no lessons, no more cures
Til you get yours, baby in the end
Which face, and whose name?
You're falling, from my eyes
To the bottom, you're all the same

from the chorus it seems like he's telling his now exgirlfriend that eventually she is going to wish that they hadn't broken up.
the rest is a puzzle, but probably has a similar meaning as the chorus
He (the singer) is wondering why to stay, cause there is no reason anymore to stay with this girl.
'cause there's fire all around' Maybe there are many things that he's not happy with in the relationship. Lot of 'fires'.
I agree with annaS about the chorus part.
'You're falling, from my eyes' Out of sight, out of mind, I guess.
i think she made a mess of the entire thing, and rather than break up gracefully, it's now this irreversible quagmire. whereas if she had handled it more gracefully they'd still be able to be friends.
it's sounds like a relationship where he's the stable one and she's the source of drama. the lines "you'll never feel so sure again" are telling - he's the rock and the source of assurance for her, which is why she'll wish they were friends and they talk.
