Out in the Fields (Gary Moore cover) Lyrics

It doesn't matter
If you're wrong or if you're right
It makes no difference
If you're black or if you're white

All men are equal
Till the victory is won
No colour or religion
Ever stopped the bullet from a gun

Out in the fields
The fighting has begun
Out on the streets
They're falling one by one
Out from the skies
A thousand more will die each day
Death is just a heartbeat away

It doesn't matter
If you're left or to the right
Don't try to hide behind the cause
They want to fight

There'll be no prisoners taken
When the day is done
No flag, no uniform
Ever stopped the bullet from a gun

Out in the fields
The fighting has begun
Out on the streets
They're falling one by one
Out from the skies
A thousand more will die each day
Death is just a heartbeat away

There's no communication
No one to take the blame
The cries of every nation
They're falling on deaf ears again

Out in the fields
Out in the fields
They're falling one by one
Out in the fields
No flag has ever stopped
The bullet from a gun

Death is just a heartbeat away
Out in the fields
A heartbeat away
Out in the fields
Death is just a heartbeat away
Out in the fields
A heartbeat away
Out in the fields

In the fields
The fighting has begun
Out on the streets
They're falling one by one
Out from the skies
A thousand more will die each day

OUT!

Nothing can stop the bullet from the gun, say it all. I coudl explain longer, but all is in the lyrics. So to me, it pretty means that war won't stop tomorrow, and you can't escape your fate: if you got to fight, fight and die. There's a thin line to cross to die. very thin. Not larger than .50 :)

Nah, what its saying is that it doesnt matter who you are, what your race is, what you believe, what country you live in, a bullet kills us all indiscriminantly. I love this song, cause its always the way I saw life.

I just liek it because of the chorus.

I took this song to mean that war effects us all, regardless of who you are or where you're from. Also, "The fighting has begun, in the streets"; this leads me to believe that the song may also be about some kind of hypothetical rebellion, but maybe I'm just reading too much into it.

This is actually a cover of a Gary Moore song. And I'm pretty sure it's about the fact that basically we're all humans, no matter our skin color, religion, language, nationality. "So why fight?" is what the song is asking.

This song to me is about recism and the scary truth that peace will never come to the world. Hence the lyrics "No colour or religion Ever stopped the bullet from a gun"
