What its about?

Well, firstly I think I messed up the lyrics.

But I'm pretty sure the song is about taking a stand for what you think is right and not letting the evils of the world walk all over the good without a fight.

"and most of us we stand and watch while the lady gets her handbag stolen it's time to chase, chase the criminal I see the devil and the devil is running"

i'm pretty sure i'm way off, but i see this as a anti-bush protest song. now, understanding completely that jbt are from australia, i do know they are very aware of the problems here in the united states as well.
but as for the song, it talks about an uneducated man, business falling apart and hand on the button of disaster - all of which relating to bush. so i see it as "i see the devil and the devil is running" - as in running our country. just my two cents.

And, as for my opinion, once you read the lyrics, I personally think it's a sort of social commentary on our fear mongered society, and telling people to stand up for what they believe in...it refers to both Bush, "He find first place with dirty hands He graduates man without learning. Agenda set So long ago This son's a puppet with a master The hands stand still right by his side Middle finger on the button of disaster."

and Iraq, "A sun does rise from distant lands Tears run and fires burning"

I remember JB saying the topic was based on 9/11 and Iraq.

I find it hilarious when ill-informed, left wing social commentators talk about a culture of fear. Just look at all of JBT social commentary and see who the real fear-monger is.
