i think she's just telling someone that even though bad things keep happening and it seems like things just keep getting worse, that's just how life goes and you shouldn't give up, you should move past it.

To me, this song is about that person who feels like everything is taking a turn for the worse, and it's beginning to feel like there's nothing left to do but give up on it all. This song is about realizing that it's just the way life goes, and that no matter how bad it gets, it can get better. You can't be afraid of facing it, or you'll never life. And that would be something to regret.
i think this song means that you shouldn't run away from life or give up on life. When something goes wrong, don't just let go of life, face it. Life will get better, but you have to work for it. Don't just let everything go.

To me this song is just saying that bad things are going to happen to you. Whether you know it or not...they will happen. And they may may not happen at the most convenient times and you will be extremely upset and down because they did happen. I know that with bad thing after bad thing happening to me in the past five months alone I have wanted to just give up and never try again.
But just as this song tells me that life is hard, it also tells me that if you give in to the bad things you won't be able to take advantage of all the good things that may come your way. When she says "it's only life" it's like she's saying, "Bad things happen. Deal with them as best as you can and move on. You can never get better if you only dwell on the bad stuff."
