Furtive Monologue Lyrics

This inaudible voice has flattered my ears
An unreal sound of distress, a sensation that aroused my being
This moment was all yours but the pleasure was all mine
All the weight I've been carrying vanished for a valuable instant

One day when this curtain will fall
Masks will be shattered

Your eyes silently scream astonishing grief
The satisfaction I devour is not retribution
Your sorrow's my devotion
I'll be awarded with your degradation
Nourished by bitter passions
My hunger for human depravation will be quenched
No Retribution
Your sorrow's my devotion

A furtive monologue

This unspoiled opus wasn't meant to persist eternally
Masks and disguises returned to their relevant closets
This theatrical masquerade will be lead
to its irrevocable ending

One day or another,
One day when this curtain will fall
Masks will be shattered

This is perhaps my favorite song from the album, due to the lyrics. To reply to blacklabel1 it's not just revenge. As the lyrics say: "No retribution Your sorrow's my devotion"

If someone saw the video of this song you'll catch me that this is about fighting back at society. "This unspoiled opus wasn't meant to persist eternally" "This unspoiled opus" stands for society, and it wasn't meant to persist eternally. In the video you see a city being destroyed.

The protagonist in the story feels like something is out of place, it is being told by "inaudible voice", it is the furtive monologue he needs to destroy society. The protagonist feels like being part of the world that hates humanity destroying the world. The protagonist may also be humanity itself, having to destroy its self-build society eventually. I'm pretty sure they mean society with "this masquerade". It could also be an unspoken subject between people, and people keeping up appearances for it and someone decides he won't be pretentious anymore.

Also my first thought on the title of the song "Furtive monologue" made me think it could also simply be about someone whispering that he is about to destroy something/someone.
