Blood of the Rose Lyrics
Dance, dance your decay all the while, unknowing youre led astray
Sleep, sleep through your woe while your voice slowly withers and melts away
Sing unto me the pleasure and pain
Reveal to me the reasons my loves not in vain
Sangre, sangre de la rosa
Sigue en paz sin el pasado
Rece, rece por su alma
Ella morirá en el bautismo del fuego
Sing unto me the pleasure and pain
Reveal to me the reasons my loves not in vain
The world burns but still we breathe...
The iron chambered heart a seive that sifts through honest elegance and suffers from the wrong defense
Sleep, sleep through your woe while your voice slowly withers and melts away
Reveal to me the reasons my loves not in vain
Sigue en paz sin el pasado
Rece, rece por su alma
Ella morirá en el bautismo del fuego
Reveal to me the reasons my loves not in vain
The iron chambered heart a seive that sifts through honest elegance and suffers from the wrong defense

Sangre, sangre de la rosa. SIGUE en paz sin el pasado. RECE, RECE por su alma. ELLA MURIERA en el bautismo del fuego.
I think that's the correct Spanish.
Translated: Blood, blood of the rose. IT FOLLOWS peacefully without the past. SAY, SAYS by his soul. SHE DIED in the baptism of the fire.
Actually, I think you got the translation from babelfish?
They actually sing: Blood, Blood of a Rose, Continue in peace without the past. Rest, rest your soul, she will die in the baptizing of the flames.
what the hell are you guys talking about it says
blood, blood of a rose. continue in peace without the past. pray, pray for her soul. she will die, in the baptism of the fire.
Yeah, it's about time an actual native speaker translated it. DigitalMe91 finally got it right. I'm guessing that it has some kind of Medieval reference to Notre-Dameish witch burnings.
As for the spelling errors, "Sangre, sangre de la rosa Sigue en paz sin el pasado Reze, reze por su alma Ella murira en el bautismo del fuego"
Believe me. I know what I'm talking about.
Now that we got that sorted out... what's this song really about?
Is it him still mourning his mother, Ms. Terri, after the incident with Ms. Leading? Or is it about Ms. Leading?
I'm afraid it isn't sorted out quite yet. Sorry if I'm a thorn in anyone's side, but... digitalme91 did get the correct meaning, but there are still some spelling errors.
"Sangre, sangre de la rosa Sigue en paz sin el pasado Rece, rece por su alma Ella morirá en el bautismo del fuego."
The verb rezar in the imperative/command form (for usted, él, ella) is rece, not reze. And "she will die" is ella morirá, taken from the verb morir, to die, not murira. Barring any possible cultural deviations, this is the correct spelling. (Although, listening to the song, I sometimes wonder if he's using 'battesimo', Italian for baptism... any thoughts?)
There are also a few mistakes in the English portion of the lyrics above, but you can probably work those out for yourselves.
This song is an extension of the last. he's back with Ms. leading again and he's accepted that she's a whore. The first lines, I think, are ms. leading speaking. Similar to a soliloquy. She does not care for him like he cares for her. The dear hunter tries to find the goodness in her. By being with her, he is reminded of how attracted to her he is and he wishes that his love is not in vain, that she really does love him.
Rose? Or rows. Hm… maybe this is the bleeding tango of life?? Damn, I don’t speak Spanish but thankfully barkley moogle helps me. The decay is a reference to act 1 (I forget the song) which is important because act 1 is so foundational . Then there is this new image of an iron chambered heart. This kinda is leading us to act 3. Anyways, its just talking about how fake the world is and how everyone is so defensive in the city. It’s just the woes of the rows of hos in the city. And the Spanish part brings us back to his mama so he is realizing some more of his past . But the song is also relating to Ms. Leading and I see some relations between the boy and her that then are presented in the next song.
Here's the actual translation of the Spanish bit:
Blood, blood of the rose Keep/Go in peace without the past Pray, pray for her soul She will die in the baptism of fire.
